Chapter 296 The First Time Being Rejected by a Girl

Natalie wrapped up work around 7 PM, having shot eight scenes—mostly with Samuel and a couple with Nora.

After her scenes, Nora moved to a different location.

As Natalie was about to leave, Samuel's assistant, Casey Young, approached her. "Samuel's treating everyone to coffee."

The crew went to grab a cup. Casey handed Natalie one. "Ms. Teeger, this is from Samuel."

Natalie accepted it. "Thanks. Please thank Mr. Russell for me."

She'd been filming for days, and the This TV crew is working at a rapid pace. She and Samuel had packed schedules, with 15 scenes each day to meet the deadline.

Amy's character was an investment by Dynamic Entertainment. They brought in a screenwriter, changed the script, and added more scenes, giving Amy several romantic and career plots.

But Nora wasn't one to always yield. Amy's scenes were almost as many as the lead's, but Amy's character was pretty bad.

The lead was smart and wise, balancing career and love.

But Amy, pregnant and seducing her brother-in-law, was utterly shameless.

This was one reason Nora compromised.

After a week of filming, Samuel wrapped up his scenes.

With his status, he was mainly there to return a favor to the producers.

After wrapping up, Samuel took a group photo with the crew. They bought a cake. Samuel placed one hand on Natalie's shoulder, made a V sign with the other, and stood next to the director and Nora. Natalie was momentarily stunned but smiled for the picture.

Samuel, holding a bouquet, hugged Natalie, and they took a photo together.

Samuel said, "I have high hopes for you, Natalie. Good luck!"

Natalie didn't expect that. She smiled. "Thank you, Mr. Russell."

Samuel said, "Just call me Samuel."

Natalie nodded. "Thank you, Samuel."

Samuel took out his phone and asked for her WhatsApp. Natalie reminded him, "I'm Natalie, not Alice."

Samuel laughed. "I know you're Natalie!"

Natalie took out her phone.

Since he knew she was a stand-in, why did he want her WhatsApp? Once Alice's foot healed, the crew wouldn't need her anymore.

Samuel chuckled. "First time a girl refused me."

Natalie was stunned.

Samuel said, "First time a girl refused to give me her WhatsApp."

"I didn't," Natalie said, a bit apologetic.

On the other side, Nora frowned, watching Samuel and Natalie chat and laugh.

Nora asked, "What's the background of that stand-in actress?"

Nora's assistant, Lori Ramirez, holding a cup of water, quickly said, "She must be clinging to Samuel. How shameless!"

Nora pursed her lips. She didn't think so.

She took a sip of coffee. "Don't you think this stand-in actress acts much better than that idiot Alice?"

Lori looked at Nora's expression. "So what if she's better? She can't compare to your superb acting skills. She's just a stand-in. Even if she gets close to the director, at most, she can only act in a few web series."

Nora glanced at Lori. Although she liked hearing such words, she didn't want lies when seeking the truth.

Lori noticed Nora seemed unhappy and quickly lowered her head.

Nora looked at Natalie. Natalie was wearing a loose dress, a simple outfit provided by the crew, but on her, it had a unique charm, serene and unconsciously beautiful.

Natalie did look similar to Alice, which explained why she was brought in as a stand-in when Alice injured her foot. On camera, the difference was unnoticeable, except for their distinct temperaments.

Alice's aura was too gaudy and flashy, while Natalie had a refreshing presence that was eye-catching. Nora remarked, "I think if she enters the entertainment industry and finds a suitable role, she might become popular."

Lori looked at Nora in surprise.

Nora was very proud. Lori didn't expect her to have such high praise for a stand-in actress.
