Chapter 420 Unprofessional
Adrian rolled up to the set.
The cameras weren't rolling yet, and the actors were just chilling. Two cameramen were shooting the breeze, and Gavin kept sneaking glances at Adrian, looking all kinds of nervous.
Adrian scoped out the scene. "Why isn't this wrapped up yet?"
Gavin sighed. "One of the actors is stuck in traffic and hasn't shown up."
Adrian raised an eyebrow. "So, everyone's just sitting around waiting?"
Gavin nodded. "Yeah."
Adrian let out a cold laugh.
Gavin shivered. He had no clue what had Adrian all riled up and couldn't read his mind.
Inside the trailer.
Harper was griping. "She's still not here? Samantha's got some nerve. It's been almost two hours, and it's getting dark. We're all just hanging around for her."
Natalie had been chilling in Harper's trailer for a bit. She didn't have her own trailer. Mindy had tried to set her up with one, but Natalie turned it down. She was just a minor character and didn't need all that.
Natalie rubbed her neck.
Harper huffed. "Is she gonna keep us waiting forever? What's she even doing? Call my agent and get her to check with the crew. I don't have all day. I got a magazine shoot after this, and it's already running late. I don't wanna be here all night."
Harper's assistant got on the phone with her agent to reach out to the crew. But no one was picking up.
Meanwhile, Chris had already taken a nap. When he woke up and found out Samantha still hadn't shown, he was fuming.
"In all my years of acting, I've never dealt with someone who's two hours late. Don't ever ask me to work with Samantha again."
Chris's assistant quickly chimed in, "Mr. Griffin, calm down."
"Two hours? She could've driven back even if she was stuck on an overpass. Traffic is just an excuse." He waved his hand. "We're done. Wrap it up."
Making the whole crew wait, Samantha left a terrible impression on Chris tonight.
Samantha was just a newbie, and her unprofessionalism had already ticked Chris off.
"Mr. Griffin, this bookstore is booked for filming next week for two weeks. Why not wait a bit longer? I'll call her right now..."
The assistant dialed. "Hey, Samantha, where you at? Still stuck in traffic? Want me to send someone to get you?"
On the other end, Samantha's executive agent, Heather Ross, answered, "Almost there. What's the rush?"
The assistant snapped, "Of course, we're in a rush. You know how Mr. Griffin is. We've been waiting for two hours. Time waits for no one."
Heather replied, "Got it. Almost there."
After hanging up, Heather glanced at Samantha, who was still shopping in a luxury store. They hadn't even left yet. Samantha had been shopping for two hours, and Chris's team kept nagging, but Heather had no choice but to say they were stuck in traffic.
She couldn't exactly say Samantha was out shopping.
Samantha had a bad temper, and Heather was just an executive agent, a step above an assistant but still an employee. She walked over with her phone. "Samantha."
Samantha ignored her and pointed at a row of clothes. "These, find my size and bring them to the fitting room."
The sales associate nodded immediately. "Yes, Miss. Please wait a moment."
Samantha strutted to the fitting room and started trying on clothes one by one.
Heather was sweating bullets and mustered the courage. "Samantha."
Samantha tried on a pink lace dress, the latest style this year, but the zipper was tight around her waist. She frowned. Had she gained weight?
She had lost 8 pounds for this role!
Samantha was immediately annoyed. "Heather."
Heather jumped.
Samantha snapped, "What are you standing there for? Come and zip me up!"
She was determined to rock this dress today.
Heather walked over. The size was normal, but the style ran small. Heather struggled with the zipper. Samantha took a deep breath and finally got it on. She looked at her slender waist in the mirror, feeling a bit excited. "Do you think Mr. Howard will come to the company banquet next week?"
Heather said, "Mr. Howard, you mean Mr. Adrian Howard?"
Samantha rolled her eyes. "Who else?"
Heather braced herself. "Samantha, Mr. Griffin is urging you to hurry up..."
