Chapter 631 Choosing Sides

Juniper had been in the industry for seven years, going from side roles to main gigs, and had starred in a ton of flicks. How's she supposed to handle being shoved into a side role for some newbie? If it wasn't for a chance to work with Oscar and get in good with him, Juniper wouldn't be here playing second fiddle and getting outshined by a rookie with a sketchy rep.

Maya pulled a bracelet out of her bag. "Juniper, I snagged this at BVLGARI the other day, but it's too small for me. I think it'd look killer on you."

She handed the bracelet over to Juniper.

Juniper slipped it on. "Fits like a glove."

Maya grinned. "Since it fits so well, it's yours. I've always been a fan of your movies, Juniper. When I heard you were in this drama, I was stoked for days. Just had to come meet you and maybe pick up a few acting tips."

Juniper checked out the bracelet on her wrist. It wasn't pricey, and she could've bought it herself, but she dug Maya's thoughtful move.

She especially loved hearing the newbie gush over her.

Right then, Oscar and Samuel strolled over. Oscar said, "Alright, everyone good? Let's chat about the roles next."

Samuel plopped down next to Natalie, peeking at her notebook. From his angle, her handwriting was all neat and tidy. He leaned in a bit and whispered, "When Oscar talks about the male lead, can you jot down some notes for my character?"

His warm breath tickled her ear. Natalie flinched and turned, seeing Samuel's handsome face up close.

After a couple of seconds, she looked down. "Okay."

At 5 PM, after hitting the shops with Diana, Alice rolled back to the Cullen Villa. "Is my soup ready?"

Renee's voice came from the kitchen. "Ms. Cullen, you're back. It's ready. Want it now?"

Alice said, "Pack it up for me."

Renee came out with a thermos. "Ms. Cullen, where you headed?"

"Where's my mom?" Alice looked around but didn't spot Avery. She had bought a diamond necklace in her bag for her.

Renee replied, "Mrs. Cullen went out and hasn't come back yet."

Alice turned to leave with the thermos. After a few steps, she said to Renee, "If my mom asks, tell her I'm still out shopping with Diana."

Renee nodded. "Yes."

Alice hit the hospital with the thermos. As soon as she got out of the car, she pulled out her phone. "Hey, you there?"

The person on the other end said, "Ms. Cullen, don't worry. I'm already waiting in the ward area on the sixth floor."

Alice seemed in a good mood. As she stepped out of the elevator, she saw the two reporters she had arranged for, both with cameras. Alice had specifically asked Karen to get them to snap some pics of her hanging with Rosalie, to post online, boost her image, and up her popularity.

Humming a tune, Alice walked into the ward.

Pushing the door open, she saw Bella sitting by the bed, peeling an apple for Rosalie.

Rosalie, not a frequent surfer on the Internet, was clueless about the stuff involving Alice and Natalie, or the trending news from that morning.

Rosalie looked at Alice, surprised.

Alice glanced at Bella. "What are you doing here?"
