Chapter 939 Twenty Million Dollars
Cassidy and Yancy's relationship had always been rocky, thanks to the Reynolds family. If Cassidy made Yancy dump Heather, he'd probably hate her even more.
Cassidy now ran the Reynolds family show, being the biggest shareholder and having put her own trusted person in as CEO. Yancy was the only family she had left.
If Yancy had joined the Reynolds Group, he'd be the CEO by now.
Cassidy pulled out a card from her bag. "There's still ten million dollars on this. Take this twenty million and don't tell Yancy I came to see you."
She eyed Heather, thinking, 'Yancy actually likes this plain Jane? What's so great about her besides a nice body? She's not as polished as those socialites, and she's rude. Look at her, lounging back with her legs crossed, totally uncultured! Maybe Yancy picked her just to get back at me. It's like a silent rebellion. And her fashion sense? Awful. A light blue suit with a light pink handbag? Even if it's a Fendi that costs ten or twenty grand, it looks terrible. Twenty million is nothing to me. If it makes Yancy see her greed, it's worth it. Once he dumps her, I'll set him up with someone better, a socialite with a proper background.'
Heather picked up the card from the table. "Twenty million dollars? That's pretty tempting."
Heather hadn't realized Yancy's family was so loaded, feeling a bit out of her depth.
But she wasn't a naive girl anymore; she wouldn't act on impulse.
Cassidy watched her face. Heather was a bit surprised by the twenty million, but to Cassidy, it was just greed.
Cassidy said, "With this twenty million, I hope you break up with Yancy, leave him on your own, and make him give up on you. I want you to leave Vachilit and never show up in front of Yancy again."
Heather pressed her lips together, her eyes now calm and serene.
Her fingers tightened slightly, then relaxed.
"Ma'am, I guess you haven't been around Yancy for a while" Heather suddenly smiled, "Why do you think I'd agree?"
Cassidy snorted, looking down at her like she was beneath her, curling her lips in disdain, "Your name is Heather, you're a manager at Dynamic Entertainment, you grew up in a messed-up family, and your grandma is sick and needs money. With that background, you're not right for Yancy. I have ways to split you two up. You might as well take this twenty million, and we can both be happy."
Heather listened to Cassidy list out her family background, her expression tense and her lips pressed together.
Nothing could be more humiliating for her than this.
