Chapter 683 At Your Command
Natalie said in a calm voice, "Chill, this ain't a setup. The dishes were just served. It's all good."
Finnian was kinda shocked Natalie figured him out so fast.
She was drop-dead gorgeous, the kind of beauty that seemed harmless at first, all soft and delicate. However, she was sharp as a tack.
Finnian took off his watch and tossed it aside; it had a camera, and he turned it off.
"Alright, Natalie, let's cut the crap," Finnian said.
Natalie smirked, "I can help you out, Mr. Harrington."
Finnian felt a bit jittery. "How exactly?"
Natalie leaned in. "Got any dirt on Lucas or Herman?"
Finnian nodded. "Yeah, I got stuff on Lucas, but it's dicey. He's slick, and if I spill, he'll have me whacked. Herman's a whole other mess. He's drugged and raped a bunch of newbies at Dynamic Entertainment, pretending to offer them gigs. He lures them to his office or some club, and after he’s done, he throws them a bone to keep quiet. They're stuck in long-term contracts, so they can't fight back or expose him. Or else, their careers would just go down with Herman. So No one dares to speak up."
Natalie said, "I can help, but I got my own terms."
Finnian was all in, "As long as you help me keep my VP spot, I'll do whatever you want."
That was exactly what Natalie wanted to hear.
Finnian looked all polished, but there was a cold, ruthless glint in his eyes now.
Then there was a knock on the door. It was a waiter with the specialty Natalie had just ordered.
After they dined, Natalie said, "This Saturday, get Herman and Lucas to meet in private room 503 at the Imperial Nightclub. If you can pull that off, you keep your job. If not, you're useless to me."
Finnian stood up. "Got it."
Natalie reminded him, "Remember, this is your last shot. I know you're not with those two. Now it's time to settle scores, and they won't meet you easily. This is your test."
Finnian said, "I'll make it happen."
He was ready to do whatever it took, even if it meant risking everything.
"Good," Natalie nodded. "But remember, you need to leave."
Finnian nodded. "Understood."
Natalie headed back to her apartment. She filled Heather in on the Saturday plan and asked her to find someone named Melody at the Imperial Nightclub.
The next morning, Adrian called.
It had been ages since Natalie had seen Adrian, and she felt a warm tingle in her chest.
Natalie said, "Yeah, I just wrapped up filming and got back."
Adrian said, "I'll be back in Vachilit tomorrow."
Natalie was a bit taken aback. "You're not in Vachilit?"
Adrian hadn't mentioned it.
Adrian replied, "Nope, I'm in Verono."
Adrian didn't hear any response from her, so he asked, "What's up?"
"Nothing," Natalie shook her head, thinking maybe she was overreacting.
Knowing Adrian wasn't in Vachilit made her feel even more distant from him. Adrian didn't trust her, but then she thought, 'I'm filming in Vilniusky. Even if Adrian were in Vachilit, we wouldn't be able to meet.'
What difference did it make where Adrian was?
Adrian said, "I got you a gift."
Natalie asked, "What is it?"
Adrian teased, "You'll see when I get back tomorrow."
Natalie pouted, "Fine, I'll wait."
Natalie spent the whole day at home, going through a few scripts.
