Chapter 995 The Howard Family Reunion
After just a couple of seconds, Melissa realized Alice and Natalie's temperaments were totally different.
The woman with the classy demeanor and delicate features was Natalie, not the flashy and arrogant Alice.
Melissa's eyes lingered on Natalie for a bit, then shifted to their tightly clasped hands, paused for a moment, and then moved away.
She might've figured out that Adrian was into Natalie, not Alice.
Right then, Ruben came downstairs.
The whole Howard family was there.
Adrian looked at Ruben, "Grandpa."
Ruben sat down in the main seat on the couch.
Claire asked, "Adrian, got something to tell us?"
Adrian walked over, holding Natalie's hand.
He glanced at Natalie as she pulled a marriage certificate from her bag and placed it on the coffee table.
Claire was stunned for a moment and looked at Joe.
Knowing Adrian's nature, Joe didn't seem surprised.
Ruben barely lifted an eyelid, not looking shocked either.
Melissa asked, "Adrian, what's this?"
Adrian said, fighting down an urge to grin, "Natalie and I are married."
Though Claire was shocked, she didn't say much, thinking, 'I valued Alice so much before, but she deceived me multiple times. Even after her schemes were exposed, she still played the victim. This Natalie seems similar to Alice, but I don't know her well yet.'
Joe nodded.
Ruben said, "Well, it's your marriage. I think Natalie is a good girl."
With those words, Natalie felt relieved.
Melissa smiled, not expecting Ruben to be so accepting of Natalie.
'Even though I don't know much about Natalie, it's Adrian's private matter. Who he marries isn't up to me. Besides, they're already married,' Melissa thought.
Adrian said, "Natalie has to fly to York City this afternoon. Let's have lunch together at home."
Joe nodded, "Sounds good."
Adrian glanced at Natalie, and she looked back at him. Adrian said, "Aren't you going to greet everyone?"
Natalie blushed a little. "Grandpa."
Ruben smiled, "You can't call me grandpa for free. Jeffery, go upstairs and bring the item from the second drawer of my desk."
"Yes."
Joe looked at Natalie, "Adrian, you got married to Natalie without giving us a heads-up. Your grandpa has a gift ready, but I don't. I don't know what Natalie likes. One day, I'll go to the gallery and find a painting for you."
Natalie smiled, "Thank you, Uncle Joe."
She realized that since she and Adrian were married, calling him Uncle might not be right.
She glanced at Adrian, and he squeezed her fingers.
Joe said, "Still calling me Uncle Joe?"
Natalie called out, "Dad."
"Good, you can pick whatever you like from my gallery." Joe laughed heartily.
Adrian said, "There are a lot of good things in my dad's gallery. You can choose whatever you like; he has many precious auction items."
Joe coughed, "Adrian, are you teaming up with your wife to take advantage of me?"
