Chapter 260 Lizzy
Next week, she had to wear that pendant to the Howard family dinner. Alice was worried about being found out, so she took a walk around Natalie's old place. It was almost empty, with most things moved out.
Meanwhile, Renee had found out where Natalie was living. "Ms. Cullen, Natalie is now living at Blue Mountain Community Home."
"Blue Mountain Community Home?" Alice pulled out her phone and looked it up. It was a mid-range apartment complex, but Natalie shouldn't be able to afford it.
Renee said, "Maybe Mr. Murphy arranged it. Natalie seduced Mr. Murphy and is trying to seduce Mr. Howard too. She's causing trouble between you and Mr. Howard."
Alice pursed her lips. "Call Lizzy over."
Two minutes later, in the bedroom, Lizzy stood with her head down. "Ms. Cullen, I don't know anything."
Alice said, "You usually have the best relationship with Natalie. I haven't even asked anything yet, and you say you don't know? Have you ever heard Natalie mention a pendant?"
"Pendant." Lizzy thought for a moment. "No, I haven't."
"Really? Think carefully before you answer." Seeing Lizzy's confused look, Alice took out a stack of bills and handed them to her. "Are you sure you haven't heard anything?"
Lizzy said, "I think I saw it once when I went to her house to borrow a computer. It was a diamond pendant."
"A diamond pendant?" Alice pressed. "What did it look like? Describe it!"
Lizzy replied, "It was just an ordinary design, made of diamonds."
Seeing she couldn't get more info, Alice waved her off. As Lizzy reached the door, Alice called her back and handed her a new Chanel bag.
Lizzy was surprised and took a step back. She was just a maid and had never used such a luxury item.
Alice smiled. "Lizzy, you're a maid of the Cullen family. This is for you."
Lizzy hesitated, but her eyes showed greed. "This, I..."
Renee, standing nearby, said, "Lizzy, since it's a gift from Ms. Cullen, you should be grateful and take it. In the future, if Ms. Cullen needs anything, you must tell the truth."
Lizzy understood. She took the bag, feeling excited. For the first time, she owned something so valuable.
"Ms. Cullen, actually..." Lizzy bit her lip. She didn't want to betray Natalie, but money talks, and she was jealous of Natalie.
She continued, "Once, I saw Natalie and Mr. Howard on the balcony with the door closed. When Natalie came out, her face was red, and Mr. Howard's lips were chapped."
She was sure of it.
Alice's face changed instantly. "When was this?"
Lizzy responded, "When Mr. Adrian Howard and Mr. Ruben Howard came to here together..."
That was two months ago.
"Bitch!" Alice cursed, smashing a coffee cup on the ground. Lizzy stepped back in fright. Renee told Lizzy to leave and helped Alice sit down. "Ms. Cullen, calm down. Be careful for the baby's sake!"
Mentioning the baby made Alice even angrier. If the baby was Adrian's, it would be fine, but it wasn't!
In five months, if Adrian still didn't agree to marry her, when the baby was born, they'd find out through a DNA test that it wasn't Adrian's, and she'd have no chance of being part of the Howard family!
Alice gritted her teeth. "Renee, come with me to Blue Mountain Community Home tomorrow. I must get that pendant back!"
