Chapter 376 The Scar on the Brow Bone

Adrian's face was more striking than any Hollywood star, and he came from a prestigious family.

She couldn't help but reach out, her hand landing on Adrian's high-bridged nose, then slowly moving up to his brow bone. Her finger lightly tapped a small raised scar at the end of his eyebrow.

Up close, Natalie noticed Adrian's eyebrow had been injured and stitched up, but the scar was hidden by new eyebrow growth. This detail was invisible from a distance.

But she could feel it under her fingertip.

Suddenly, Adrian opened his eyes.

His pupils went from hazy to clear, then softened. He looked at her without moving, without getting up, and without brushing her hand away.

Instead, he said, "You're awake."

Natalie nodded. "Yes."

He asked, "What time is it?"

She replied, "Around 7:30 in the morning."

"Sleep a little longer," he said, his voice hoarse and thick with early morning weariness. After speaking, he closed his eyes, then reached out to embrace her waist, pulling her into his arms, holding her tightly. Natalie rested her head on his arm, her cheek almost pressed against his chest. Her face turned red.

Her breathing became a bit unnatural.

She hardly dared to move. She forced herself to close her eyes, but her back was tense.

She wasn't sleepy at all.

Adrian, however, seemed genuinely tired. With the soft and fragrant Natalie in his arms, he slept exceptionally well. He had never been as comfortable as now. Since coming back, no night had been as restful as this.

Until 8:30, Adrian opened his eyes again. He glanced at Natalie, who seemed to be asleep. Adrian lowered his head and kissed her forehead before getting up, changing clothes, and leaving.

Natalie was indeed asleep.

They had made love until the early hours of the morning, and she wasn't as energetic as Adrian.

In Adrian's somewhat cold yet gentle embrace, she closed her eyes stiffly and eventually fell asleep.

All she could hear was the sound of Adrian's heartbeat, an indescribable intimacy.

When she opened her eyes again, it was already past 9 o'clock. Natalie got up; Adrian was already gone. The large suite was empty. She went to the bathroom, ran a bath, and let the warm water flow over her body, dispelling the discomfort.

She looked at herself in the mirror, her collarbone covered in red marks. The friction from the body wash caused a slight stinging sensation. She wondered if Adrian was a wolf, as he seemed to enjoy biting.

Natalie closed her eyes, standing under the showerhead, water flowing over her face. Her fingers slowly clenched.

Natalie finished her bath, came out, and was about to pick up the clothes on the floor when she heard a knock on the door.

She went to open it, and outside stood a hotel attendant. The attendant smiled and said, "Miss, this is from Mr. Howard. He said you should be awake by now."

The attendant pushed a cart into the room, setting up the exquisite food, and then handed over a gift box. "These are clothes Mr. Howard prepared for you."

Natalie hadn't expected Adrian to be so thoughtful as to prepare clothes for her.
