Chapter 1215 You're Making Excuses for a Dog

At this moment, a servant rushed in hurriedly.

"Something's wrong, Ms. Lawson's hand is injured."

The chess game was instantly put on hold.

Natalie lifted her gaze, her eyes sharp, and her fingers pinched the chess piece.

Ruben frowned, "What happened? Explain clearly!"

The servant quickly said, "Ms. Lawson's finger was bitten by Lucky. We're contacting the family doctor to come and bandage it."

Adrian frowned. He knew Lucky's temperament well; it wouldn't bite anyone. How could it have bitten Andrea this time?

Rachel said, "How is that possible? Lucky wouldn't bite anyone! Did you make a mistake?"

Immediately, the group left the chess room to check on Andrea.

Although the chess game was important, Andrea's injury was naturally more important.

Natalie put down the chess piece in her hand and walked out as well. She didn't believe Lucky would bite anyone; it was completely impossible.

Lucky had been living here for a while, and not only had it never bitten anyone, but it also got along very well with many of the Howard family's servants.

It was always happy, carefree, and a dog without any malice, wagging its tail enthusiastically at everyone.

Andrea was sitting on the sofa, with a clear bite mark on her right hand, bleeding. She frowned, with tears of pain in her eyes.

Seeing so many people coming over, she felt a sense of secret joy but wore a pitiful expression on her face, "Grandpa."

She looked at Ruben with red eyes.

The family doctor was cleaning her wound.

Ruben said, "Andrea, how do you feel? Does it still hurt?"

Andrea choked up, nodded, then shook her head, with tears streaming down her cheeks, looking even more pitiful.

Her demeanor made her seem even more obedient and sensible.

Andrea lifted her gaze and glanced at Adrian, noticing his eyes on her.

Andrea smiled inwardly. She knew her tactic had worked; now everyone's attention was on her, and Natalie's chess game was interrupted.

She slightly pressed her lips together, suppressing her inner joy.

Jamie walked over, frowning at Andrea's hand, "Dr. Collins, how is Andrea's hand?"

"She was bitten by the dog. The wound is quite deep, and she lost a lot of blood. But the main thing is to get a rabies vaccine," the doctor said.

Andrea looked at Jamie, "Jamie, I'm fine. It's not a big deal."

Jamie's brow remained furrowed.

At this moment, a servant ran in, "Lucky is missing. After it bit Ms. Lawson, we tried to catch it and put it in a cage to prevent it from hurting anyone else. But the bodyguards couldn't find it, and the surveillance footage didn't show Lucky's whereabouts. We don't know where it ran off to."

Adrian said, "Lucky is my dog. It wouldn't hurt anyone without reason. It must be hiding out of fear."

Jamie sneered, "You're making excuses for a dog, Adrian. Is Andrea less important to you than a dog?"

He stood up, looking at Adrian.

Their cold gazes clashed.

The atmosphere in the living room instantly became tense.

Andrea bit her lip.

Natalie stood behind the crowd, peering through the gaps at Andrea sitting on the sofa.

The wound on her hand did indeed look like an animal bite. Although it was possible that Lucky did it, Natalie didn't believe it either.

After all, she had spent a lot of time with Lucky. She knew Lucky had a gentle temperament; even if it was bullied, it wouldn't actively attack humans.
