Chapter 465 Unable to Stay Calm

Thinking about Avery, she suddenly felt like crap.

She'd spent over twenty years putting up with Avery's constant nagging.

And now, that woman she couldn't stand was her real mom? Natalie just couldn't wrap her head around it.

Her brain was a mess, no way to chill or find any peace.

She got up and walked out of the hospital room.

Strolling down the corridor of the inpatient department, Natalie was deep in thought. Someone bumped into her and apologized, but Natalie's eyes were kinda glazed over. She just kept walking until she heard someone calling her name from behind.

Natalie turned around.

Jagger jogged over. "Your phone was left behind."

Natalie took it, and Jagger said, "Your phone kept ringing when you passed out. I answered it for you. Your friend said she'd be here soon."

Natalie glanced at her phone; it was a call from Heather. She then remembered she had promised Heather to have dinner tonight to talk about the script for the next movie. She had totally spaced.

The news she got tonight was just too wild, and Natalie couldn't handle it all at once, so she fainted.

Natalie asked, "Dr. Kamel, how's my mom?"

Jagger said, "She's fine, don't worry. It's a minor thing, but she needs to stay in the hospital for a few days for observation."

Natalie nodded. "Okay, I gotta go do something. Dr. Kamel, see you tomorrow."

"Natalie." Jagger handed her a box of candies. "You have hypoglycemia, remember? Don't overdo it, or your body won't keep up."

Natalie took it. "Thanks."

Jagger smiled gently. "See you tomorrow then."

Natalie left the hospital and called Heather back. She waited at the hospital entrance for fifteen minutes before Heather drove up, and Natalie got in the car.

Heather noticed that Natalie didn't look too hot and asked with concern, "How is it? Is Rosalie okay?"

"She's fine." Natalie raised her hand to rub her temples and leaned back in the seat. "I need a drink."

Heather replied, "It's late now."

Natalie insisted. "I'm exhausted, I need a drink."

Heather saw that Natalie really didn't look well. She didn't know what had happened to Natalie, but it must have been something bad. Was it Rosalie's health? Heather didn't ask and drove to a nearby bar.

She looked around, parked the car, and then walked in with Natalie.

She disapproved of celebrities coming to places like this. Natalie didn't have any work out yet and wasn't famous. Once she became well-known, these incidents could have come back to haunt her.

Natalie usually had great self-control and would never come to a place like this, but tonight, she decided to let loose for once.

Sitting in a booth, Natalie took a sip of her drink. The cool, alcoholic liquid slid down her throat, turning from cold to a burning sensation. But Natalie tilted her head back and drank in big gulps.

Natalie downed three glasses in a row, and Heather quickly advised, "Stop drinking, that's too much. You'll have a killer headache tomorrow."

Natalie looked at Heather, her eyes like a bottomless dry well, filled with a lifeless color. Heather was startled and quickly asked, "Natalie, did something happen? Is it about Rosalie?"

She sat next to Natalie, holding her and taking the glass from her hand.

Natalie gave a bitter smile and shook her head, saying, "Heather, I feel so awful. I don't know who to tell. Why is this happening to me?"
