Chapter 904 Talent

Natalie grinned, "Alright, Miss Cross, let's make a bet. If I win..."

Kamille jumped in, "If you win, I'll..." She paused, eyeing Natalie, who already owned Blue Moon Lake. Money or jewelry seemed kinda lame. After a moment, she said, "If you win, I'll grant you one wish. Anything within my power. But if you lose, you gotta agree to one wish of mine."

Natalie nodded, thinking, 'One wish? Not a bad deal. Plus, I'm not gonna lose.'

Lauchelle took a bite of the dessert, savoring its sweet, soft texture and rich floral aroma. His eyes widened slightly. This flavor was exactly like the one he remembered.

"Natalie, if you win, I've got a gift for you too," Lauchelle said.

"What gift?" Kamille asked, curious.

Lauchelle chuckled. "Let's keep it a surprise for now."

Natalie figured Lauchelle would just give her a house-warming gift, so she smiled and nodded, "Okay."

Meanwhile, Lauchelle was chatting and laughing with some old friends. "This is the new owner of Blue Moon Lake Estate, Natalie Teeger."

Everyone was shocked that Lauchelle had actually sold Blue Moon Lake.

Conrad turned to Natalie, scrutinizing her.

Saul was also surprised. They exchanged glances. They had thought Natalie was just Lauchelle's friend, but now it seemed she was more than that.

Natalie was the new owner of Blue Moon Lake.

They all knew how valuable this place was.

Blue Moon Lake wasn't just an estate; it was a symbol of status and wealth in Vachilit.

Vivienne asked, "Lauchelle, didn't you say you'd never sell this place?" She had been interested in it herself back then.

Lauchelle smiled, "Natalie and I have a connection. She loves this place and is the right person to own it."

Saul, who had been friends with Lauchelle for over twenty years, said, "Lauchelle, we'll miss you when you're gone."

Natalie had been honing her chess skills since she was a kid.

With her natural talent, it only took a few moves for Natalie to turn the game around.

Kamille's confident smile slowly faded.

With bated breath, Saul watched Natalie calmly and decisively make her moves.

Her slender fingers moved the black pieces, and the obsidian chess pieces seemed to glow faintly.

Conrad could see that Natalie had the guts to turn the game around and win.

Lauchelle's eyes glued to the chessboard.

Twenty minutes later, Kamille put down her chess piece, "I lost."

Actually, saying she lost wasn't entirely accurate.

But if they kept going, Kamille had no chance to turn the game around. Every move she made was anticipated by Natalie.

She had no way to advance or retreat, so it was just a stalemate.

Natalie's chess skills were seriously impressive.

Kamille had been playing chess since she was young and thought she was pretty good. She had clearly had the upper hand against Lauchelle, but now, Natalie had resolved the endgame.

It was a bit of a blow to Kamille, but she genuinely admired Natalie.

Lauchelle smiled, "Alright. Let's head to the dining room for lunch. I specially invited chefs from Novaria to make some authentic dishes you rarely get to eat."

The lunch was a feast.

All the dishes were made by top chefs from the best high-end restaurant in Novaria, invited by Lauchelle.
