Chapter 1226 Forget Him

Was there nothing else Adrian wanted to say?

For a moment, neither of them spoke.

Suddenly, Natalie noticed a cherry blossom tree not far ahead.

It seemed to be the only cherry blossom tree in the Howard family.

Natalie was taken aback.

She suddenly remembered that Adrian had mentioned removing the rose garden and planting cherry blossom trees instead.

"This is a cherry blossom tree," Natalie's eyes sparkled.

Adrian followed her gaze, his eyes softening. "This isn't the season for cherry blossoms to bloom, so there's a plastic cover over it."

"By the time you come back, it should have completely withered, but in the spring, it will bloom again."

"Adrian, I still want to thank you."

"Thank me for what?"

"The cherry blossom tree."

Adrian looked at the cherry blossom tree.

In his memory, there was the shadow of cherry blossoms. Perhaps the cherry blossom tree was an important token of his relationship with Natalie.

"Bayview Villa is very large. In the future, we can plant many more there."

Suddenly, Natalie stood on her tiptoes.

A kiss as light as a feather landed on Adrian's lips.

It brushed past gently.

His pupils dilated for a moment.

The scent of cherry blossoms suddenly became intense.

Natalie's lips were soft and warm.

By the time he realized it, Natalie's kiss had already disappeared.

Only a faint warmth and soft fragrance remained.

Natalie said, "I have to go now."

Natalie turned around, but after taking just a few steps, her wrist was grabbed by Adrian.

With a pull, Adrian brought Natalie into his arms.

"Who told you that you could leave after teasing me?"

"I have a flight to catch."

Adrian lowered his head, pressing a kiss onto Natalie's lips.

Natalie didn't struggle, but he held her even tighter.

Time stretched out, long and tender.

Natalie looked into Adrian's eyes. It wasn't until she was almost out of breath that Adrian let her go.

His fingers pinched her chin, and Natalie could feel the calluses on his fingertips. Her breathing became slightly rapid, and her heart raced.

"I really have to catch my flight. I'm going to see Rachel."

Adrian seemed to realize he had been a bit impulsive. He let go of her, his fingers clenching once more, his voice hoarse and tense. "Go ahead."

That kiss just now had stirred something in him that he couldn't calm down.

Natalie got into the car. Rachel was already inside, wearing sunglasses and seemingly in a bad mood.

She didn't say a word. Lloyd drove them all the way to the airport, and they had just 15 minutes before boarding.

Natalie took the VIP channel and made a call to Heather. Heather couldn't come along because she had to follow up on a film project.

The flight took six hours, and they arrived in Suncrest City.

Suncrest City was far from Vachilit, almost a country's distance away.

This time, the filming was set up in the old town of Suncrest City, with all real scenes.

Because it was a palace drama, the investment was significant. Instead of filming at the previous film base, they chose real locations, showing how much Dynamic Entertainment valued the project My Heart, Bright Moon.

It was already evening when they landed. Rachel hadn't said a word the entire way, and Natalie was a bit worried about her.

Rachel shook her head. "I'm fine."

Her voice was muffled.

"Alright then, let's go out for some barbecue later. I want to meet a friend, and you can get to know them too."

"Sure." Rachel originally wanted to stay in her room, but she didn't want Natalie to worry about her, so she forced a smile. "I'll go touch up my makeup first."

She went to the restroom.

Rachel took off her sunglasses.

After crying all afternoon, the redness and swelling in her eyes had finally subsided a bit. She felt pathetic for still crying over Jamie.

She vowed never to cry over him again. She would forget Jamie, forget this man.
