Chapter 1139 I Believe in My Husband

Just as Natalie was about to get out of the car to retrieve it, she saw Andrea walking out of the villa.

Andrea looked very elegant today, which matched her gentle and demure demeanor. Because she had a slight limp, she walked slowly. Natalie could see clearly that Andrea was holding her phone in her left hand.

Andrea walked over, her voice soft, "Natalie, this is your phone. You left it in the dining room."

Natalie took it. "Thank you."

"You're welcome, Natalie. But your phone rang; it seems someone is trying to reach you."

Natalie took a look at it, instantly shocked; it was from Samuel. She was really startled and couldn't imagine what Adrian's reaction would be as she remembered last night when Adrian had misunderstood her. After all, the current Adrian had no memory of the past and wouldn't believe her explanations.

Andrea had a gloating smile on her face. "Natalie, since you're busy, I won't disturb you. By the way, Natalie, Adrian and I are going to the Howard Group's mall later. Adrian said Uncle Joe's birthday is coming up, and he wants to pick out a gift for Uncle Joe. You don't mind me going with Adrian, do you?"

"Of course not, I trust my husband." Natalie maintained her smile.

Andrea's face stiffened when she heard "husband".

No matter that Adrian had lost his memory or felt guilty towards Andrea, he was still Natalie's husband and they were already married.

Adrian seemed to feel very guilty towards Andrea, but he never crossed the line and always treated her like a sister, which made Andrea very frustrated.

Natalie stepped on the gas, and the car drove out of the Howard Mansion. She parked the car by the roadside, thought for a moment, and sent Adrian a message: [Samuel called me because a director he knows is starting a new film and hopes I can make a cameo appearance.]

After sending the message, she waited for a few minutes, but there was no response from Adrian. Natalie knew that the Adrian who had lost his memory didn't trust her at all.

The car drove all the way to the Dynamic Entertainment Media Building.

Natalie arrived at her dressing room, and Heather walked in, handing her the scripts that had been submitted over the past week. After Heather's screening, there were four pretty good scripts.

Now that Adrian was awake, Natalie was also preparing to join a film crew, so Heather had been paying attention to many projects.

The scripts handed over were all of the same genre, mostly suspense and mystery. But she had already starred in a top-tier mystery film and didn't want to repeat herself and ruin her reputation unless the plot was exceptionally good. These few had good production teams, and the distributors and producers were also excellent, but Natalie still had Heather turn them down.

Natalie had already established herself in the entertainment industry, as two of her films had been nominated for international awards.

With the Imperial Nightclub and some investments in hand and the Elysian Fields Nightclub set to open, she wasn't short of money either.

If there wasn't a very good script, Natalie wouldn't take on any films for the time being.

Heather pondered and said, "Dynamic Entertainment has a good period drama coming up in a month. It's a historical detective series, written by Clementine. It's an original story, and Clementine is a hot screenwriter. Her previous three female-led dramas had good reviews and plots. I suggest that you take it into consideration."
