Chapter 870 Dressed Up
[We all respect Wendy, but her fans need to chill out about losing that endorsement!]
A bunch of people jumped into the debate, but most eyes were glued to the socialite gala.
Pretty soon, U&M's official Facebook and some top magazines dropped the guest list for the event.
The live stream was about to kick off.
Some eagle-eyed folks noticed Alice's name at the bottom of the list.
[Wait, why is Alice on the list? Didn't Rebecca say in an interview she wasn't invited?]
[These socialites all know each other; maybe Rebecca was just messing around with a friend.]
[Yeah, that makes sense. Plus, Alice is about to be the future lady of the Howard family. No way she wouldn't get an invite.]
Alice was all dolled up today. She had Karen get the best stylists and photographers, and she picked out this fancy blue starlight gown with a royal princess vibe. She even sported a diamond-encrusted crown, looking like she stepped out of a fairy tale.
Rebecca handled all the transportation, with a big car brand sponsoring the rides.
At 6:30 PM, the car pulled up to Blue Moon Lake Estate.
A long red carpet was rolled out, and a bunch of socialites were strutting down it, looking super classy.
The order was kinda set but not super strict. Even though all the attendees were top-tier socialites, some managed to sneak in, so the red carpet order was flexible. For instance, brand ambassador Natalie was set to make the final appearance, while world-famous socialite Kamille was first.
The rest just went in the order they arrived.
Even though all the socialites were big shots, with hundreds of media outlets filming at Blue Moon Lake, it was a prime chance for them to get some exposure.
Their gowns were stunning, their makeup flawless, even more glamorous than movie stars on the red carpet.
Rachel rocked a lake-blue sequined tulle gown tonight, the evening breeze giving her an ethereal look. Chloe was with her, wearing a champagne gold fringe gown. As they walked the red carpet, the cameras frantically snapped, and they smiled the whole way.
Rachel was breathtaking, and Chloe was elegant. Together, they were the perfect pair.
After a few socialites, Alice showed up, holding up her gown and wearing her diamond crown.
But by then, the event was halfway through, and the media photographers were tired, chatting among themselves and not really paying much attention to Alice. Some even took a few half-hearted shots.
This irritated Alice a great deal, but she couldn't throw a fit on the red carpet. She walked super slowly, striking poses, turning, and waving with a smile.
Her slow pace on the red carpet got people on the live stream saying she was dragging her feet on purpose.
Odette, Alice's manager, had to signal her from the side to hurry up, but Alice wanted everyone to know she was there. After all the efforts to score an invite to the gala, she wasn't about to waste it. After the red carpet, she told Odette to get her publicity sorted out ASAP.
Of course, Odette had already taken care of it.
