Just last year, they threw down $4.7 billion and raked in $2.6 billion in net profit. They still had five films waiting to drop. Even if they took some hits, with the Howard Group backing them, they were still top dogs in the entertainment biz.

A company that big? No way it was perfect. Beneath the surface, it was a hot mess, with factions plotting against each other and entertainers fighting for the spotlight. Even Wendy, a top-tier star, had her high-end commercial gig swiped by Penelope. And Penelope, with Finnian backing her, was getting heat from a newbie in the company dubbed Little Penelope.
"Mindy's probably got her ducks in a row this time, aiming for a bigger slice of the pie," Heather said. "Mindy's gotta be ready. Otherwise, she'd be hitting you up for help like Karen did. But Mindy's been super firm about your resources, even hinting at letting go. For her to pull that, she must have something up her sleeve."
Heather shot a look at Natalie. "Natalie, you thinking about helping Karen?"
"Just a win-win deal," Natalie said coolly. With her mask and sunglasses on, she stared straight ahead. "I hate feeling like I'm on a leash. I crave freedom. Mindy backstabbed me first. Karen's a helping hand I could use but not forever. Heather, you wanna be the third agent at Dynamic Entertainment Media?"
