Chapter 852 Plagiarism
Even though there were rumors about plagiarism, most folks didn't seem to care.
Everyone was more interested in the socialite gala.
After all, the gala happened every two years and attracted socialites from all over the world, so it was naturally a big deal.
Rebecca's PR team played it smart by slowly releasing the guest list for the gala throughout the afternoon, keeping everyone on their toes. This way, the plagiarism issue with Rebecca's new product got pushed to the back burner.
Meanwhile, Heather was scrolling through her phone while having dessert with Natalie and Bella at the BVLGARI Hotel. "Rebecca's pretty clever. By doing this, she shifts the conversation and gets everyone talking about the gala guest list instead of her plagiarism scandal."
Bella took a moment, then bit into her jasmine chocolate mousse. "Rebecca's PR team knows their stuff, and she's pretty sharp herself. I've heard her entrepreneurial story; it's really inspiring."
Heather chimed in, "There are eight sponsors for this gala, and they've raised over $100 million. No way Rebecca's canceling it; she might just push it back a bit. This delay keeps everyone guessing. Plus, it's happening at Blue Moon Lake Estate, a mansion that's usually off-limits. Even the Murphy family's eldest son couldn't buy it. The estate's famous because it overlooks Blue Moon Lake, giving a perfect view of the scenery, which just adds to the hype."
Natalie nodded and took a bite of her scone. "The view at Blue Moon Lake is stunning. Wanna go check it out? I can take you."
She had taken a quick tour before but hadn't really soaked it in. Even that brief look left her in awe of Blue Moon Lake's beauty.
Bella's eyes widened. "Can we really go? Can you get us in? I heard it's off-limits to outsiders."
Natalie rested her chin on her hand. "After tomorrow, the estate will be mine."
"What?" Bella and Heather both looked shocked.
Natalie nodded. "Yep, after work tomorrow, I can handle the property transfer. Adrian gave me the estate. If you two want to go to Rebecca's gala, I can take you." She figured she'd be bored going alone anyway.
Lauchelle had invited her several times, saying that as the estate's owner, Natalie had to attend.
"He gave it to you? Wow, Adrian's really generous! When are we going?" Bella asked excitedly. "Are you going tomorrow to handle the paperwork? Do you want us to come with you?"
Natalie agreed, "Sure, after I handle the paperwork tomorrow, I'll take you there."
"Adrian's not so bad to you after all. I still can't believe he wants to marry Alice, that scheming, nasty woman. But she seems to have quieted down lately. I heard she's pregnant and resting at the Howard family estate." Bella said, looking annoyed. She couldn't stand thinking about Alice.
"Natalie, when did you get that ring on your finger?" Heather asked.
