Chapter 967 Should Not Exist
"Unlucky child?" Nicholas scoffed, "You really think this child's unlucky?"
"Yeah," Bella replied, thinking, 'This child shouldn't even be here. This child is proof of my messed-up night with Nicholas. I'm supposed to marry Austin, the eldest son of the Reynolds family. But the marriage certificate says I'm with the second son. How crazy is that?'
"If anything happens to this kid, I won't let the Swan Family, Swan Jewelry Company, your parents, or your friend Natalie off the hook!" Nicholas warned.
Bella's eyes widened in shock.
An hour later, Nicholas came downstairs, and Liliana was waiting in the living room, "Mr. Reynolds."
Nicholas ordered, "Go make dinner, and keep me updated on her."
"Yes, sir." Suddenly, Liliana noticed bloodstains on the floor.
As Nicholas moved, blood dripped from his body, leaving a few drops on the ash-gray wool carpet.
"M-Mr. Reynolds," Liliana stammered.
Nicholas just shrugged it off, "It's fine. Just clean it up."
He pressed his hand against the wound on his abdomen, smirking slightly as he walked out with big strides.
Liliana quickly went upstairs and pushed open the study door, finding Bella cowering in the corner. Her hair covered her once delicate and beautiful face, her loungewear was torn, there were red marks on her neck, and faint bloodstains on the floor, probably from Nicholas.
Liliana thought Nicholas and Bella had a fight, and Bella hurt Nicholas. But it didn't seem like that.
Liliana said softly, "Ms. Swan, let me help you to the bedroom. You should take a bath and change your clothes."
'Mr. Reynolds is too rough, and Ms. Swan is pregnant. Can't they just talk it out?' Liliana thought.
Bella croaked, "Liliana, I just want to be alone for a bit."
Liliana grabbed a blanket from the couch and covered Bella with it. "Alright, Ms. Swan, I'll head out. But you can't stay on the floor; it's cold."
Bella regretted reaching out to Natalie, knowing Natalie would definitely try to find her.
She didn't want her only good friend to be in danger.
Nicholas was a madman; no one knew what he might do.
A week passed, and neither Derek nor Milan found any trace of Bella, as if she had disappeared into thin air.
'With Adrian's influence and Milan's connections, finding someone should be easy. But neither of them can find Bella. How is that possible?' Natalie wondered. She pulled out her phone and checked the call log from a week ago. There was a 29-second call with Bella. She had called Bella's number countless times, but no one answered.
Milan flew to York City specifically. "Ms. Teeger, are you sure it was Nicholas who took Bella?"
Natalie nodded.
"There's a lot of info on Nicholas. I've worked with him a few times. Even though he's the second son of the Reynolds family, the one in charge now is Cassidy. Nicholas is almost like a VP without real power in the Reynolds Group. Even in Star Entertainment, he doesn't have much authority. Among the film companies now, Star Entertainment is one of the top ones. Although it doesn't have as many actors or actresses as Dynamic Entertainment, Star Entertainment's annual total investment is no less than Dynamic Entertainment," Milan explained.
