Chapter 1050 No Regrets at All
Avery laughed so hard she ended up on the ground, crying out, "Alice, my poor daughter."
At the police station, Curtis and Avery rushed in.
Even though things were tense between them, they still had one daughter, Alice.
Curtis brought a lawyer along.
The lawyer went to see Alice, but when he came out, he just shook his head. "Ms. Cullen is practically out of her mind."
He repeated Alice's words to Curtis and Avery. "I just want to kill Natalie! Kill that bitch! I want her to end up like Rosalie, never waking up! Natalie deserves to die! I want to drag Natalie to hell with me! When I get out, I still won't let her go."
Curtis frowned, and Avery begged the police to let her see Alice.
Curtis had to pull some strings and spend a fortune, but they finally got to see Alice.
Alice, looking a mess with her hair all over the place and her eyes dull, immediately asked when she saw Avery. "Is she dead? Is Natalie dead?"
"Alice, get a grip," Avery said quickly. "You're in a bad spot right now. You need to listen to the lawyer and do whatever he tells you. That's the only way we can get you out of here."
"Yes, get me out of here fast. I don't want to stay here. You have to help me," Alice said.
Avery held Alice's hand. "We'll find a way. Just hang in there, Alice. We'll figure something out soon."
Alice's eyes were bloodshot. "When I get out, I will definitely kill Natalie."
"Enough!" Curtis couldn't believe Alice was still thinking about killing someone even while being detained. "Alice, what are you thinking? How could you actually do such a thing!"
Alice looked at Curtis, tears in her eyes. "Dad, do you feel sorry for Natalie? Do you want Natalie to be your daughter? In your heart, am I just a failure? I can't do anything right. I was rejected by the Howard family, and you feel humiliated because of me. You've always blamed me, haven't you?"
"Alice, how can you say that? I've never blamed you," Curtis said. "I've never blamed you. It's all my fault. I failed you. I let your mother's influence corrupt you, and I'm so sorry."
Avery looked at Curtis, "When something goes wrong, you always blame me. I've always tried to raise Alice well. It's because of Natalie and Rosalie that things turned out this way. Adrian became Natalie's husband. It's not just Alice, it's a stain on the whole family. How is she supposed to hold her head up after this? The gossip, the judgment... it's going to be brutal."
Alice, with tearful eyes, said, "Mom, Natalie isn't dead. I hate Natalie so much. This whole mess is because of her! I hate her for taking away the person I like and the position of the Howard family's hostess. Mom, do you know how much it hurts inside?"
"I know," Avery said, holding Alice's hand.
