Chapter 144 Insignificant

Seraphina was a woman with strong feminine intuition.

Brice set down the files. "Focus on your work, don't gossip about the boss's love life!"

With that, he knocked on the door and entered the CEO's office.

Adrian didn't look up. "Find out what's going on with Jagger, go handle it."

"Yes."

Brice hesitated a bit but couldn't help but speak up, "Mr. Howard, why don't you tell Ms. Teeger that you actually didn't know about Jagger's situation, and it was a misunderstanding."

"That's not important," Adrian replied curtly.

Adrian adjusted his tie, thinking of Natalie's unpleasant face made him irritated.

At the hospital, Natalie left the ward and aimlessly wandered around alone. Before she knew it, she had wandered into the inpatient unit of the nephrology department, a place she used to frequent.

Here, she had slept on the floor and in the corridors, all to accompany Rosalie.

There was an artificial lake behind Sunset Valley Hospital's inpatient unit.

Jagger sat here, a place he had worked for a long time, but now he had been fired and even got involved in a medical lawsuit. During that surgery, he did his best, followed the initial surgical plan, never expected sudden complications, and acted promptly to remedy the situation.

Since the incident, these few days for Jagger felt like an eternity.

He was about to submit his paper for a position evaluation by the end of the year. He was an excellent nephrologist, highly regarded by many seniors.

But now, all of that was gone.

Jagger's phone kept ringing.

But he had it on silent.

Jagger knew his parents had been trying to reach him, and Natalie had been calling, too, but he didn't know how to face them.

Jagger felt like a bird soaring freely in the sky, suddenly having its wings broken.

"Dr. Kamel." Suddenly, a familiar female voice sounded.

Jagger looked up to see Traylor.

"Doctor Kroger."

Traylor approached. "I heard you were here, so I came to find you." She looked at the stubble on Jagger's chin. "Dr. Kamel, everything will be fine. My mother has been trying to help you, you're just temporarily suspended, you'll be back at your post soon."

"Please thank Director Kroger for me." Jagger knew the chances of his return were vague.

Traylor sat beside Jagger. "Jagger, I've always believed you. I think this is just a common accident. As doctors, we will inevitably encounter accidents, so don't dwell on it too much."

Traylor looked at Jagger's profile. Since Jagger's first internship at Sunset Valley Hospital, Traylor had liked him, and Emma also appreciated him. Traylor had pursued Jagger many times, and almost the entire Sunset Valley Hospital knew about it, but what about Jagger?

He already had a girlfriend.

"Thank you, Doctor Kroger."

Jagger spent the afternoon in the artificial garden with Traylor by his side.

As the evening approached, Jagger stood up to leave. As Traylor got up, she almost stumbled, and Jagger helped her. "Doctor Kroger."

Traylor looked at Jagger, her cheeks turning red.

Then Jagger let go of her hand and kept his distance from Traylor.

At this moment, a voice called out.

"Jagger, you're here. Your parents have called you many times."

Traylor looked at the newcomer, and it was Natalie.

Traylor bit her lip, feeling increasingly resentful.

Jagger was flustered, afraid that Natalie had just seen the scene, and quickly explained to Natalie. "Natalie, Doctor Kroger almost fell, I just helped her, I..."

"Let's not talk about this. Why didn't you answer the phone?" Natalie questioned.
