Chapter 1119 Discharge from the Hospital
Bobby stepped on the gas, and the car jerked forward.
Even though Rachel was wearing her seatbelt, she was still jolted. She looked at him and asked, "Why haven't you left yet?"
Bobby just grinned, "I'm at my girlfriend's place. Why should I leave? Your house is basically my house, right?"
"You're shameless."
When they got to the hospital, the doctors weren't on duty yet, so they had to hit up the emergency room first.
In the ER, the doc checked out Rachel's messed-up ankle, gave her some meds, and laid down a few instructions.
The main problem was nerve damage, which meant she'd need about two months to heal. Walking was gonna be a pain for the next week.
Young nurses were buzzing around, sneaking glances at Bobby.
Some were whispering.
"He's so hot."
"He looks familiar, like I've seen him somewhere before."
"How could you have seen him? If I had seen a guy that hot, I'd never forget."
"Oh, I remember now! That's Bobby from the THT racing team. You probably don't know him 'cause you don't follow racing. He's a top-notch racer."
"No way, Bobby's here? Is that his girlfriend? She's gorgeous."
A few young nurses chatted during their break and then got back to work.
But Rachel caught those whispers, realizing Bobby was quite the hit with the ladies.
After helping Rachel with her bandages, Bobby asked the doc about some do's and don'ts, then saw Rachel with her swollen ankle, trying to get off the bed.
She couldn't wear her shoes and was stuck with just a pair of slippers. Bobby bent down and scooped her up.
Rachel felt a bit awkward in Bobby's arms. She glanced up at his face and suddenly felt a weird sense of security.
Once they were in the car, Bobby drove her to the Howard Mansion's entrance.
Rachel said sincerely, "Thanks."
On the other side, Natalie took care of Adrian's discharge papers in the morning.
Adrian was all healed up, but since he'd been stuck in bed for a while, he needed some rehab exercises at home.
The Howard family had a top-notch medical team, so home was the best place for him to get better.
When Adrian got discharged in the morning, the whole Howard clan showed up.
Melissa asked, "Where's Rachel?"
Claire shook her head and smiled, "That kid twisted her ankle while taking a bath at a friend's place. She's laid up at home now."
Rachel was the only daughter in the Howard family, and Melissa doted on her. "Is it serious? How's she doing?"
"It's not too bad, but she probably won't be walking for a month. It's good; she can chill at home," Claire said.
"Adrian." A soft female voice chimed in.
Andrea, in a light purple dress, walked over to Adrian.
She glanced at Natalie, like she was worried about upsetting her, and politely said, "Hey, Natalie."
Natalie looked at Andrea and nodded.
Claire stood on Adrian's left, and Andrea moved to his right, leaving no room for Natalie.
Natalie smiled and clenched her fingers tightly.
The Howard family split into two cars.
Melissa and Claire got into the car behind, driven by Joe.
Adrian and Andrea got into the car driven by Jeffery.
Natalie's car was also parked at the entrance.
Adrian said, "Your driver's here, so you can go with him."
Natalie nodded and watched Andrea help Adrian into the car, feeling a bit suffocated.
