Outside the hospital operating room.
The doctor emerged, looking grave. "The patient's in critical condition. We need to transfer her to another hospital right away."
The butler hesitated. "Transfer her? But..." He glanced at Elmer for guidance.
Without missing a beat, Elmer nodded. "Do it."
The island's medical facilities were limited, so they had to get to the mainland quickly. The hospital contacted the nearest city, Luminosa, and the nurses wheeled Rachel out.
Watching Rachel's pale face, Elmer turned to the butler. "I'm going with Eve. You need to tell my father."
"But sir, I should come with you."
Elmer shook his head, not wasting any time. He arranged for a private plane and headed to the hospital's rooftop helipad.
The medical staff loaded the unconscious Rachel into the helicopter, with Elmer and the butler following closely behind.
Given the urgency, the butler didn't argue and joined them.
They arrived at Sunrise Memorial Hospital around 3 AM.
Rachel was immediately taken into the emergency room, and the medical team began discussing the rescue plan.
Elmer leaned weakly against the wall, staring at the red light above the emergency room door.
Isaac called, but Elmer was too dazed to notice. The phone buzzed in the quiet corridor until the butler nudged him, prompting him to answer.
"Dad."
"How's Eve? Are you at the hospital now?"
"She's still in the emergency room." Elmer gripped the phone tightly. "Dad, I won't let the Bailey family get away with this. If you're thinking of going easy on them because of our business ties, I can't go along with that."
"Anyone who harms the Roach family will pay! Elmer, from now on, you're in charge of the port operations. We can partner with anyone, but those who oppose us will face tenfold retribution!" Isaac was furious. He had finally found a suitable wife for his son, and Elmer was visibly recovering from his past shadows. He never expected such an incident at a birthday party!

And the Cross family from the East District—Eve was harmed at Kamille's birthday party, so they shared responsibility.

"Dad..." Elmer hadn't expected Isaac to support him. He thought Isaac would urge him to spare Mila for the sake of their business relationship.
