Chapter 752 Deserve
Heather shot Natalie a text, asking how she was holding up.
Natalie sent back with some pics and vids.
Natalie: [Hey, when you get a sec, bring your boyfriend here.]
Heather: [I always feel like I'm not good enough for him.]
Natalie: [No way! Heather, you're amazing.]
Heather: [Yancy's got a ton of properties. Today, he even took me to his swanky apartment. He wants me to move in. Even though he runs a bar, it seems like he doesn't need the money. He's so mysterious and impressive, like he can do anything. Compared to him, I feel like just a regular person.]
Natalie read Heather's message.
Just then, Natalie looked up and saw Adrian standing in line at a coffee shop to grab coffee for her. Under the bright lights, even in a tracksuit, Adrian looked classy and distinguished. He had that vibe, even in casual clothes.
In the crowd, Natalie could spot Adrian instantly. He was so tall and handsome.
Natalie bit her lip. Deep down, she knew she didn't deserve Adrian. Compared to him, she was just ordinary, too.
Natalie totally got where Heather's anxiety was coming from.
Natalie: [Heather, then work hard to reach him.]
Natalie glanced around and decided to grab some barbecue to take back. She took a few steps forward. The crowd was thick.
Suddenly, someone bumped into Natalie's shoulder, but she brushed it off since there were so many people around.
But after a couple of steps, Natalie felt a bit dizzy.
The world seemed to spin before her eyes.
Natalie opened her mouth, but before she could say anything, she blacked out.
Two guys caught her and quickly sneaked her away.
Adrian got the coffee while the crowd was still bustling. However, Adrian looked around but didn't see Natalie.
Where did she go?
Adrian pulled out his phone and dialed Natalie's number.
The tourist area was packed with a lot of noise around.
Adrian dialed three times, and suddenly it connected.
Adrian asked, "Where are you?"
A young voice answered, "Oh, it's ringing. This thing is ringing?"
Adrian got anxious. "Who are you? How do you have Natalie's phone?"
When Adrian found the phone, it was in the hands of two kids. A little girl, in a babyish voice, said she found it on the ground. Adrian gave the kids the coffee, and they happily scampered away. Adrian held the phone, which had a clear crack on the screen.
Adrian looked around, gripping the phone tightly. He still couldn't find Natalie. 'Where did she go? Why was her phone on the ground?'
Adrian started freaking out. He thought Natalie had ditched him without a word, but seeing her phone made him think it wasn't that simple.
When Natalie opened her eyes, she found her mouth taped shut. Her hands were tied behind her back.
Natalie looked around in horror. It seemed like she was in a warehouse filled with old, discarded stuff piled in the corners. Beside her lay another woman, also with her hands tied and mouth taped. But she was still out cold.
Natalie immediately realized they had been kidnapped.
She remembered getting hit by something and then blacking out.
