Chapter 875 Turmoil

Diana scrunched her nose, looking a bit unsure. "Something feels off about this."

I mean, who'd be crazy enough to stir up trouble on Rebecca's turf?

Alice wasn't having it. "What's the big deal? If anything goes wrong, I'll handle it."

She was just itching to affront Natalie in front of all these socialites and the media!

Rebecca and Fiora strolled over, and Natalie stopped, waiting for them to catch up.

Fiora knew exactly who Natalie was. When Natalie first hit the scene, she was all over magazines, backed big time by Dynamic Entertainment Media. Fiora had an eye for talent; she knew right away Natalie was going to be a star. Natalie's look was this perfect mix of sexy and cool. From day one, she was hit with all kinds of rumors—being a resource hog, having major backing, and being the little princess of Dynamic Entertainment. But in just a year, Natalie shut everyone up by raking in $2 billion at the box office.

So, Rebecca picked Natalie as the spokesperson, which was supposed to be Wendy's gig.

Wendy had already filmed the commercial, but the endorsement ended up going to Natalie.

But honestly, Natalie was a dark horse, with both talent and looks.

Rebecca said, "Fiora, this is Natalie. I’m sure you two know each other, so no need for a big intro."

The whole banquet hall seemed to revolve around Natalie.

A lot of socialites were shocked that Rebecca actually walked over to Natalie and seemed to know her.

"Did Rebecca mix her up with someone else? Does she really know Natalie? Or did she think Natalie was Alice?"

"Yeah, I never heard that Rebecca knew Natalie. So, Natalie has an invite? But she's not a socialite; why would Rebecca invite her? If she wanted celebs, she could just throw a celebrity bash."

"I remember Natalie comes from a servant's family," Diana barked, loud enough for a few people to hear.

Diana was pretty, but some cosmetic tweaks made her look a bit off.

Right now, her tone was dripping with sarcasm, really killing the vibe.

A socialite jumped in, "Yeah, I remember too. I read somewhere that Natalie's mom was a maid for the Cullen family. Her background is so humble, and even though she's a celeb now, it feels weird seeing her at an event like this. What's Rebecca thinking? Inviting an actress with such a humble background to hang out with us? It's confusing."

Her words rippled through the crowd and stirred up more comments from others.

"Yeah, are we really supposed to be on the same level as a maid's daughter? Is this some kind of move to lower our social standing?"

These socialites acted all high and mighty, looking down on celebs. But they didn't have the star power that celebs did, the fan adoration. Deep down, these so-called "golden girls" craved that attention, especially when they saw someone like Natalie, glowing in her gown, perfectly made up. It was easy for jealousy to creep in.

"If Rebecca invites a bunch of celebs to the next party, she might as well not bother."

"Does anyone really think we're here out of respect for Rebecca? We're just here to hang out and chat. I'm here for Kamille."
