Chapter 1315 Goodbye, Jamie
Jamie returned to the study, grabbed his phone, and was about to go back to rest.
Suddenly, the phone rang again.
Jamie picked it up and saw "Rachel" flashing on the screen.
Jamie squinted his eyes.
His movements paused.
Rachel was actually calling him.
But Jamie still answered.
"Rachel, what kind of trick are you trying to pull now?"
"Jamie."
On the other end, Rachel called his name in a low, pained voice.
"You are truly the most heartless person in this world." Rachel's voice trembled, seemingly in pain and helplessness, a low moan.
Jamie was taken aback, "Heartless? If that's what you think, fine. So I hope you don't waste any more time on someone as heartless as me."
"Jamie, from now on, I'll do as you wish. You don't want to see me, and maybe you really won't see me again. Jamie, can you call my name one last time? Call me Rachel, please? I want to hear it one last time."
"It's already 11 PM. Are you drunk and acting crazy in the middle of the night, saying all these nonsensical things?"
"Jamie, if you call me Rachel, I'll hang up, and we won't see each other again. I won't bother you anymore."
"Rachel, is this good enough? I haven't blocked you because I consider us both part of the Howard family. You are like a sister to me, and this is the last bit of courtesy I'm extending to you. Do you understand?"
"I understand."
Rachel's voice trembled, "Jamie, this time I really, really won't bother you anymore. You should have fewer worries in the future."
"I wish you and the person you like can be together. I've been bothering you for so long, I'm sorry."
"Goodbye, Jamie."
After saying this, Rachel hung up the phone.
Jamie glanced at his phone, recalling Rachel's tone, feeling a bit strange.
A trace of worry, unnoticed even by himself, flashed in Jamie's eyes.
It must be another one of Rachel's tricks, just like before.
She even said that if Jamie didn't respond to her messages, she would commit suicide to show him.
Jamie shook his head and put the phone aside.
This Rachel, spoiled by the family, had a willful personality.
In the study of Bayview Villa.
Adrian had not yet rested.
Callum stood in the study, reporting the recent events around Natalie, "Mrs. Howard previously endorsed a luxury brand U&M, but this time she proposed to terminate the contract because U&M's CEO Rebecca started a collaboration with Wendy."
Adrian crossed his legs, "Wendy?"
"Yes, in the entertainment industry, Wendy and Mrs. Howard have always been competitors. This endorsement was originally Mrs. Howard's, but I found out that Wendy was willing to endorse the brand for free, and Wendy is related to Rebecca, so the endorsement went to Wendy. Mrs. Howard directly terminated the contract."
Adrian's voice was cold, "Give Rebecca a warning."
"Understood." Callum knew what Adrian meant, "And Wendy?"
Wendy had grown up with Adrian. Although they weren't very close, their families had business dealings.
"Warn Wendy as well. Rebecca wants to expand into the international market, right? Then there's no need for that. In business, the most taboo thing is breaking promises."
