Chapter 960 Goodbye Raymond
Wendy couldn't stand those comments, so she had Mira reach out to all the big forums to get them deleted ASAP, but it didn't work.
The backlash just got worse, so Mira had to bring in a PR team to shift the focus.
Mira figured out that the costume designer's assistant leaked the dress details, and Penelope found out. So, Penelope had put on a similar dress but with a fancier design to outshine Wendy.
Even though Wendy changed her dress, Penelope still got what she wanted.
Not wearing the original dress on the red carpet ticked off both the brand and the magazine, making Wendy super anxious.
Natalie was sipping champagne and chatting with some acquaintances when she froze at the sight of a familiar face .
After a quick word with Heather, she lifted her dress and trundled over.
Raymond, in a gray suit, looked mature and sophisticated, with his tall frame and deep eyes. He saw Natalie, smiled, nodded to his friends, and walked over.
Natalie's eyes were a bit red with excitement. "Raymond, you're back?"
Raymond nodded, "Yeah, I'm back. I was gonna reach out, but I heard you joined another project. You're such a workaholic." He almost reached out to touch her head but stopped himself, sighing softly. "I saw your movie. It's amazing."
Raymond had left Vachilit in a hurry, sent abroad, without a chance to say goodbye to Natalie.
Back then, Natalie was still struggling in the entertainment industry.
Now, she had made a name for herself.
Raymond felt a rush of emotions, a mix of amazement and joy. His eyes stung a bit from the memories. But he couldn't tell her everything yet. "Come on, let's talk."
Natalie followed Raymond to a seat, with cameras trailing her. She hated feeling watched all the time, with no privacy. But that was the life of a celebrity.
They chatted for a bit.
As Raymond talked about his time abroad, Natalie listened closely, nodding now and then.
Raymond suddenly felt a sense of familiarity.
While abroad, he often thought of Natalie. It wasn't romantic, but a sense of familiarity, like they were siblings.
Raymond smiled, raised his hand, and touched the top of Natalie's head. "I got you a gift, but I didn't know you'd be at this banquet. I'll give it to you when we're back in Vachilit."
"That'll be a few months. I'm filming in York City right now, and it'll be two more months before we wrap up."
Raymond glanced at her, amazed by her makeup. "You look stunning tonight."
Natalie smiled, "Really?"
"Yeah." He nodded.
Natalie continued, "So, do you think I'm prettier, or are the others prettier?"
The entertainment industry was never short of beautiful women.
Tonight's fashion banquet was a dazzling display of beauty.
Raymond was honest. "There are lots of beautiful women, but I think my sister is the most beautiful. The others might be pretty, but I wouldn't notice them."
