Chapter 933 I'll Protect You
Adrian shrugged, "Yeah."
Natalie looped her arms through his. She never would've guessed that the always bold and decisive Adrian, a big shot in the business world who could make people tremble, would be scared of horror movies.
"Don't worry. I'll protect you," she said, squeezing his hand.
Their fingers intertwined, and she rested her head on his shoulder.
Adrian's back was a bit sweaty, but he held onto Natalie's soft hand.
He gripped it tightly, not wanting to let go. "Since you like it, I'll watch with you."
'Even if I'm scared, I can still protect you,' he thought.
When Natalie said, "I'll protect you," so seriously and gently, Adrian felt a warm feeling spread through his chest.
"Why are you scared of this?" Natalie asked, looking up. Even though they were close, the dim light only let her see the sharp lines of Adrian's jaw, making him look even more handsome.
Feeling her gaze, Adrian looked down and met her eyes.
Even in the dark, Natalie's eyes sparkled like water, shimmering with a crystal-like glow.
Adrian lifted her chin gently. "Have you seen enough? Do I look good?"
"Yeah, the more I look, the more I like it," Natalie said honestly. No wonder so many women chased after Adrian.
Some socialites even said that if Adrian weren't so rich and out of reach, they would've kept him.
Natalie had been in the entertainment industry for so long that maybe because she was used to seeing Adrian's handsome face at home, she had no feelings for other male celebrities.
"You don't hide it at all, but I like the way you look at me," Adrian said.
"Why should I hide it? You're just good-looking."
Adrian chuckled at Natalie's playful retort.
After the movie, Natalie found a popular commercial comedy.
This comedy had made a lot of money at the box office.
A comedy director had approached Natalie before, but she turned it down.
Heather thought that since Natalie was still young, it wasn't the right time for comedies, and commercial comedies were tough. It'd be better to focus on art films or good romance or mystery thrillers.
Natalie also felt she wasn't cut out for comedy. She was too gentle and quiet.
Adrian tapped Natalie's nose. "How's the movie shoot going? The weather in York City is a bit dry. You should drink more water."
Even though it was a simple concern, it made Natalie feel a sense of domestic life, like she and Adrian were already married.
"Yeah, you take care of yourself too. Your stomach isn't great, so don't eat too much cold food or drink too much alcohol at social events," she said.
"Okay, I'll listen to Mrs. Howard."
"What Mrs. Howard? I never said yes." Natalie simpered.
"I remember you agreed, and you even put on the ring."
"No way." Natalie raised her hand, her fingers fair and slender, with her ring finger bare.
She had taken off the ring for filming. Natalie had looped it in a chain and put it on her neck, resting against her chest.
