Chapter 358 Stay

Adrian used to see Alice as a beacon of purity and innocence, the girl who saved him. Now, however, he saw her as too clever, too calculating, and even questioned the paternity of the child she carried.

Adrian squinted. In two months, when the baby was born, he'd know the truth.

Raymond came back to the private room, not feeling very hungry. After Natalie finished eating, he asked the waiter to pack some desserts. Checking the time, he said, "I'll take you to the Imperial Nightclub. When do you get off work tonight?"

Natalie, who had tied up her hair while eating, let it down and combed through it with her fingers. "Are you planning to pick me up after work?"

Raymond replied, "I can get a driver for you. It's not safe for a girl to be out late."

Natalie declined, "No need. I usually ride with a friend. My hours aren't fixed; it depends on when the customers leave. But don't worry, I'm always with friends. If it's too late, I would just rest in the lounge and go home during the day."

Raymond asked, "Which private room are you in now? I didn't see you on the 6th floor a few days ago."

Natalie replied, "2nd floor."

Raymond knew the higher floors had more distinguished customers. The 2nd floor was more chaotic, with walk-ins.

Natalie shrugged. "The 6th floor has a different manager now. I earn a bit less, but it's the same otherwise."

As they walked down the stairs, Natalie's phone vibrated. She didn't check it, and Raymond reminded her, "Your phone rang."

Natalie smiled. "It's a message from a crazy person, never mind."

Raymond guessed, "Adrian?"

Natalie widened her eyes. "How did you know? Was it that obvious?"

Raymond asked, "Is Adrian pursuing you?"

Natalie's eyes widened more. "No way! Why would he pursue me?"

Raymond gave her a deep look. "I think Adrian treats you differently."

"You're overthinking it." Natalie lowered her gaze.

She thought, 'How could Adrian like me? He can't despise me more.'

As the car sped down the road, Raymond glanced at the rearview mirror, looking at Natalie's serene face. "Natalie, it's strange. I always feel a sense of familiarity with you. Just now, Alice told me you're very cunning, but to me, you're pure and kind. It feels like we've met before. Maybe in a past life, I was your brother."

Natalie bit her lip, feeling her eyes get wet and sore.

She didn't know if Raymond was really Ryan, but with all the coincidences, she preferred to deceive herself.

"How about you just be my brother? I know I'm from an ordinary family, and you have a noble background. I'm not greedy; I won't ask you to do anything for me."

Raymond was stunned for a moment. Then he smiled. "Of course, it's my good fortune to gain a beautiful and gentle sister for no reason."

Hearing Raymond's words, the bitterness and discomfort in Natalie's heart seemed to disappear. She wouldn't leave Vachilit; she would stay. Alice and Avery couldn't drive her away or threaten her again.

She would stay and find out if Raymond was really Ryan.
