Chapter 497 Because She Understands
Tessa shot a glance at Natalie, who was just chillin' with her eyes closed, pretending not to notice. Cherie kept doing her thing, finishing up the eyeliner and keeping the eyeshadow super light 'cause Natalie was all about that natural look.
Cherie wasn't into loud colors either; she knew Natalie's eyes were already stunning.
Natalie stayed quiet, and Cherie didn't say a word either. Inside, Cherie was thinking, "Is Samantha really that full of herself? Sending her assistant to drag me over for makeup? Natalie and Samantha are from the same company. This is straight-up bullying. Nice people like Natalie always get walked all over. She's got that sweet, gentle vibe."
Tessa piped up, "Heather, Samantha's the star today, so she needs the glam. Natalie's done anyway. You can't hog the makeup artist."
Natalie opened her eyes and said softly, "Cherie, thanks. Go ahead and help Samantha."
Cherie was almost done here anyway and didn't want to piss off anyone from Dynamic Entertainment Media, especially Samantha, who was about to blow up with her lead role in Esme. So, she followed Tessa.
Heather was like, "Natalie, why'd you let Cherie go? Samantha's just using Lydia's clout to snatch your makeup artist."
Natalie replied, "No need to make a fuss. I'm ready to shoot. Cherie's just doing her job. No point in her getting on Samantha's bad side because of me."
Heather sighed, "You're always so considerate, Natalie. Too kind-hearted."
Natalie just gave a faint smile. She'd been through rough patches before and knew the drill.
Natalie stuck around the studio all morning, doing interviews during breaks. But Samantha was always surrounded by people, getting all the attention.
Guess the squeaky wheel got the grease, and the divas got pampered.
The photographer from SUMI Studio was shooting Natalie with just a tall vase behind her. She wore a light blue dress, eyes half-closed, blending perfectly with the vase.
The photographer said, "Good, very good."
The shots were top-notch, and he was stoked.
After the shoot, Natalie took a breather.
Meanwhile, Samantha was up next. After a few minutes, she whined about being tired and called it quits. The photographer looked at the deputy editor, who nodded. "Let's take a break."
Both were shooting promos for a new phone and Esme's movie.

Looking at Samantha's photos, the photographer sighed and started editing. Samantha had a sweet, delicate face, but it wasn't cut out for high-fashion shoots. She lacked that fashion vibe, and her performance was meh, like she had no connection with the fashion world.
