Chapter 1074 Firm Grip
Claire clung to Rachel's arm, her hands shaking and her voice caught in her throat. She couldn't get a word out.
Rachel saw the panic in Claire's eyes and knew something was seriously wrong. She called out, "Jeffery, get over here! Something's up with Claire."
Jeffery rushed over, and Joe came down the stairs, asking, "Claire, what's going on?"
With a terrified look, Claire grabbed Joe's hand. "Joe, Adrian and Natalie are in trouble!"
Joe tried to stay calm. "Slow down. What happened?"
Claire, on the verge of tears, said, "I got a call. Adrian and Natalie were in a car accident. They went off the bridge into the lake. They're in the hospital now, but the doctors said they were underwater too long. Their brains didn't get enough oxygen. They might not make it."
Joe took a step back, stunned. "What did you say?"
He tried to keep it together but couldn't. Jeffery was also in shock and quickly went upstairs. They knew they couldn't keep this from Ruben. When Ruben found out, his face changed. "Which hospital? Let's go now!"

The operating room doors were shut tight.
The Howard family stood outside, looking grim. Ruben stared at the closed doors and the glowing sign above, feeling a mix of emotions.
Adrian, the one he had the highest hopes for, was in the surgery room with Natalie, and their fate was uncertain.

'Adrian and Natalie, please be okay,' Rachel thought.
Jeffery showed up and said, "Avery's been taken by the police. She admitted she did it on purpose, out of revenge and jealousy. She was mad that Alice was in prison while Adrian and Natalie were happy together, so she wanted to get back at them."
Claire gritted her teeth. "I want her to pay for this!"
Joe held Claire. "The law won't let her get away with it!"
Melissa, looking fierce, said, "I won't let the Cullen family off the hook. If anything happens to Adrian, I'll make sure the Cullen family is wiped out in Vachilit!"
Ruben sat on a nearby bench, leaning on his cane, staring at the operating room doors. The Howard family's business had grown big, and Ruben had retired in his early sixties, stepping away from the Howard Group. His wife had passed away early on. He hated family feuds. He always knew his grandsons didn't get along. He looked at the operating room doors, deep in thought.
Originally, Adrian and Natalie were in separate operating rooms.
