Chapter 1200 I Misunderstood You
If it were before, when Adrian hadn't lost his memory, she wouldn't need to explain herself; Adrian would believe her.
He walked ahead.
She followed behind.
The heavy atmosphere made Natalie a bit uncomfortable. Deliberately, she stepped on Adrian's shadow, as if that could vent her frustration.
Adrian stopped walking.
Natalie, caught off guard, bumped into his back.
Her nose felt a bit sore. Luckily, she was all-natural; otherwise, if she had had plastic surgery, her nose might have been knocked out of shape.
Natalie couldn't hold it in any longer and said, "I didn't know Andrea was allergic to kiwi. She drank it on her own."
"If you don't believe me, you can ask Violette. Violette prepared two glasses of juice, and Andrea chose first. We also have surveillance in our living room, which can prove it."
After a few seconds, Adrian's voice came. "I know, I was a bit impatient and misunderstood you."
At that time, Andrea had fainted from an allergic reaction and was rushed to the emergency room.
Plus, he had been trying to call Natalie, but her line was busy. When he finally got through, he was anxious.
In hindsight, even if Natalie had handed Andrea the kiwi juice, Andrea didn't have to drink it, right?
Andrea drank it voluntarily, so what did it have to do with Natalie? And Natalie couldn't possibly know everyone's likes and dislikes.
"Sorry, I was a bit impatient and my tone wasn't very good on the phone."
Natalie didn't expect that Adrian would actually apologize to her.
"It's okay, I didn't take it to heart."
Adrian didn't say anything more. He glanced at Natalie, turned around, and walked ahead.
Hearing a heavy stomping sound behind him, he turned around and saw Natalie stepping on his shadow, seemingly venting her frustration.
Her face showed an embarrassed look of surprise at being caught. Adrian couldn't help but smile; he didn't expect Natalie to have such a cute little habit.
"Is it fun?"
Natalie coughed, "It's just stepping on a shadow, don't be so petty."
"Yeah." Adrian said, taking a long stride and stepping on Natalie's shadow.
Natalie took a step back, "You!"
"It's just stepping on a shadow, don't be so petty." Adrian replied with her own words.
Natalie wasn't being petty; she just didn't expect Adrian to do something so childish. She couldn't help but laugh.
She walked alongside Adrian, "So, you don't blame me? I thought you came back to hold me accountable."
"Why would I blame you? Andrea isn't a child; she should understand such a simple matter. But don't blame her, Natalie. She was in a coma for seven years and hasn't fully accepted everything now. Her psychologist said that although she woke up, she still lives in her 17-year-old self from seven years ago."
"She sees Jamie and me as her trusted older brothers. Her awakening is something I'm very happy about and have always hoped for. So, it's normal for her to have some psychological issues and not be able to accept everything now. I hope you can be more understanding of her."
Adrian's eyes were sincere.
Natalie nodded, "I know, I understand."
She had heard Adrian talk about Andrea before.
He had mentioned that Andrea became a vegetative state to save him.
Adrian owed Andrea his life.
Natalie remembered.
