Chapter 1072 Falling Off the Bridge
So, Juniper went on Facebook and posted an apology. She admitted that out of jealousy, she tried to ruin Natalie and Samuel's reputations.
#JuniperApology quickly shot to the top of trending searches.
Juniper wasn't new to the scene. She'd been in the entertainment industry for over a decade, usually playing the golden supporting actress. She had her own fan base, even if she wasn't super famous.
Fans were in shock. They always thought Juniper was this sweet, generous, and talented actress, not someone who'd be so jealous she'd frame others.
But what really blew everyone's mind was that Juniper actually apologized.
In the entertainment world, some people mess up and act like nothing happened, refusing to apologize because they know they'll get attacked if they do.
Juniper didn't want to apologize either, but things were out of her hands.
Right now, in the Star Entertainment Building...
All of Juniper's social media accounts were taken over. Almost all her endorsements called to cancel contracts, and her upcoming shows were scrapped. She had to pay a hefty sum, and the apology statement was posted by the company using her account. The higher-ups decided to suspend all her activities for six months as punishment.
Juniper knew she was being sidelined.
Natalie was surprised Juniper would do something like that.
But honestly, Natalie didn't care what happened to Juniper.
Natalie was about to join a crew for a cameo role, and Oscar had already sent her the script. She was set to leave for Skyview City on Friday.
Skyview City was pretty far from Vachilit, about a four-hour flight.
Adrian wasn't thrilled about Natalie leaving so soon.
Natalie smiled and leaned into Adrian's arms. "Just five days, I'll be back before you know it."
Skyview City had a dry climate, so Natalie had her assistant make vegetable soup to share with the other actors on set.
The five days of shooting flew by. When it was over, Natalie returned to Vachilit, and Adrian came to pick her up.
Adrian loaded her luggage into the car. "What do you want to eat? Let's go grab some food."
The airplane food that morning was pretty meh, so Natalie checked a food delivery app. "There's a new restaurant that just opened. Let's go check it out."
Adrian set the GPS and started driving.
The car entered Luminary Overpass.
On both sides were railings, 30 feet high, with a silent deep lake below.
As they drove along, Adrian's eyes suddenly narrowed.
He jerked the steering wheel to the left.
Even though Natalie was wearing a seatbelt, she was still thrown to the left by the sudden move, staring wide-eyed out the window as a black sedan came straight at them.
Everything happened so fast.
Natalie felt her body lift into the air as the car rolled over.
In a dizzying blur, Adrian's hands tightly gripped Natalie's.
Before she lost consciousness, she saw blood streaming from Adrian's forehead, a few drops landing on her cheek. She trembled. "Adrian, Adrian!"
Then, Natalie closed her eyes.
On Luminary Overpass, a black sedan had crashed into a white one, sending the white car through the railing and plummeting 30 feet into the deep lake below. The police had already arrived and sealed off the route.
The rescue team was conducting a search and recovery operation.
