Jeffery, who was over a decade older than John, had been the assistant butler for ages. Now, it was about time he got bumped up to head butler.
Lately, John and Jeffery hadn't really butted heads much at the Howard Mansion. Jeffery never really challenged John's decisions, and John was still the one running the show for the Howard family.

Jeffery said, "John, we've known each other forever. Let me give you a tip: Don't force anything not meant for you."
John's eyes flashed coldly for a second before he quickly hid it.
Natalie saw the news about Adrian and Alice's engagement being called off on her phone. She frowned a bit and clenched her fingers, wondering if it was really true.
She pursed her lips as Heather walked over. "It's warming up. Natalie, I heard the crew's planning a team-building trip to Emerald Peaks Mountain this weekend. They have hot springs there. Wanna go?"
"I probably can't. I need to head back to Vachilit this weekend," Natalie replied.
Heather smiled, sat next to her, and put an arm around her shoulder. "Going to see Mr. Howard?"
Natalie nodded.
Heather said, "Mr. Howard's divorced Alice. He'll definitely marry you. You've been through so much with him, and now things are finally looking up."
Natalie looked up slightly, dubious about the idea that the tough times were really over.
Natalie shook her head. "Let's just see how things go. As long as I can see Adrian, even if we don't end up together, I'll be happy. We have a two-day break. Why don't you come back with me? You've been here for half a month. Don't you miss Yancy?"
Of course, Heather missed him, but she and Yancy had some issues.
Heather hadn't mentioned it because she didn't want to worry Natalie.
Heather also wanted to go back to Vachilit to sort things out with Yancy.
The crew of "Yesterday's Mist" officially announced that Natalie would be the female lead.
Natalie's current talent and popularity had already secured her spot. As the lead, she naturally had a lot of fans excited to see her performance.
Meanwhile, Azalea was still stuck in the hospital. She needed six months to recover, which meant no acting for her during that time.

More and more people could replace Azalea, and she was getting anxious. "It's actually Natalie! What is Matthew thinking, giving her my role?"
Seeing Azalea upset, her manager said consolingly, "Even if it wasn't Natalie, it would be someone else. Natalie's really popular right now. This is her second time working with Matthew. It's normal for her to get the role."
But Azalea was still unhappy.
Even though her car accident left her in bed, the crew couldn't wait for her.
