Chapter 769 Whose Child Is It?
Natalie was totally wiped out and still running a low fever. Right now, all she could think about was how warm the embrace in front of her felt. She just wanted to stay like this forever and drift off to sleep.
She slowly closed her eyes, feeling like all the strength had left her body, making her feel as light as a feather.
Adrian was caught off guard and a bit panicked. "Natalie!"
He caught her as she started to slump, picked her up, and laid her on the bed. Noticing the unusual flush on her cheeks, he touched her forehead. It was burning up. He quickly grabbed his phone and called Colby, telling him to come over ASAP.
Colby got the call and rushed over, thinking something serious had happened. When he got to the apartment, he took Natalie’s temperature.
Colby let out a sigh of relief. "It's just a fever, nothing major. She just needs some meds and rest."
Adrian had been genuinely scared a moment ago. He was sitting by the bed, looking worried.
Colby saw the concern on Adrian's face. He hadn't expected Adrian to fall so hard for Natalie.
Natalie was something else.
Colby had originally thought Adrian was just a bit interested in Natalie because she was stunning and had that elf-like beauty. But it turned out Adrian had really fallen for her.
Colby said, "I prescribed some medicine. She'll be fine once she wakes up and takes it."
Adrian grabbed a cigarette and headed to the small balcony, with Colby following him.
They smoked a few cigarettes out there.
Amid the swirling smoke, Adrian pinched the bridge of his nose.
Colby knew Adrian had been stressed lately, so he asked, "What's up? Natalie’s fine. It’s just a fever. She’s probably just exhausted or caught a chill. She’ll be okay after some rest and medicine."
Adrian exhaled a long puff of smoke. "Alice is pregnant."
"What?" Colby frowned.
Adrian said, "Even though I was drunk, I’m sure I didn’t touch Alice."
Colby said, "My hospital has a machine that can do prenatal DNA testing with minimal harm to the mother. You can bring Alice in for a test."
Adrian said, "No rush. I’ll deal with Alice slowly. I originally planned to let her go since she saved me back then. Although there could be some kind of ulterior motive when she saved my mother later, there’s no solid evidence. There must be some secret between Alice and John and Carlos. John is not the type to be content with just being a butler."
Colby said, "You want to use Alice to lure John and his people out and catch them all at once."
"Yeah." Adrian nodded. Alice was smart but also very foolish. She exploited Claire's desire for a grandchild. Now, Alice had moved into the Howard Mansion, and everything from her meals to her daily life was taken care of by the Howard family. Claire was extremely fond of the unborn child and had even started preparing a nursery in the Howard Mansion.
Adrian certainly wouldn’t marry Alice, but he wouldn’t kick her out either!
John had always eyed the Howard Group covetously. He had previously tampered with the Howard Group's jewelry company, and Ruben was also aware of it.
But John had been loyal to Ruben in the past, even losing an eye to save him. As long as he didn’t commit any major offenses, Ruben didn’t want to make things difficult for him, and naturally, Adrian didn’t want to embarrass John, either.

Colby said, "Who do you think Alice's child belongs to if it’s not yours?"
Adrian flicked the ash off his cigarette and asked, "Who do you think?"
