Chapter 893 Alice Detained (1)
Marshall scoffed, "Seriously? The service at the Platinum Haven Hotel is this bad? Spilling wine on a VIP?" With all the banquets he'd been to with Lauchelle, he knew these kinds of tricks all too well. "Check if she’s been bribed or something."
Marshall was worried someone had paid off the waiteress to embarrass Natalie in front of everyone.
The servant left.
Marshall glanced upstairs. He'd told his team to assess the damage in the banquet hall and then headed up. Passing a lounge, he spotted two Henderson family security guards outside. He walked over and asked, "Who's in there?"
The guards didn't recognize him, so they stayed silent.
Marshall, not backing down, asked, "Where's Ms. Henderson?"
One guard, with a bit of attitude, replied, "Why do you care where Ms. Henderson is?"
Marshall snorted to himself, 'In Blue Moon Lake, and they dare to act tough!'
Marshall stared the guard down, making him feel the pressure. How could a middle-aged guy be so intimidating? Realizing Marshall might be someone important, the guard quickly said, "Miss Cullen's in the lounge. She had a fight with Miss Hall, who called the cops. Ms. Henderson told us to watch Miss Cullen. Ms. Henderson left, and the police are with Miss Cullen and Ainsley."
Marshall turned and headed to the third lounge.
Inside, the police were taking statements.
Ainsley was a witness.
The police asked, "Did Miss Cullen start the fight with Miss Hall?"
Ainsley nodded.
The police continued, "Did Miss Hall do anything aggressive before Miss Cullen attacked?"
Ainsley shook her head, "Miss Hall was about to leave when Miss Cullen suddenly rushed her."
There was video evidence too.
After taking statements, the police went to Alice's room.
Marshall stood at the door. Ainsley walked over. "Marshall, I'm sorry for the mess this caused."
They'd just borrowed Blue Moon Lake Estate for the banquet, but now the cops were involved. The media would have a field day with this.
Blue Moon Lake Estate and the socialite banquet were already big news. Tomorrow's headlines would be wild.
Marshall's face was stern, but his voice was calm. "Is everything sorted out?"
As the steward, it was his job to keep things running smoothly. An incident at Blue Moon Lake meant he hadn't done his job well, especially since Lauchelle was still around, and now the police were involved.
Ainsley apologized, "The police will leave after their questions. I'm sorry for the trouble at Blue Moon Lake Estate. Ms. Henderson said we’ll handle everything. If anyone tries to smear Blue Moon Lake Estate tomorrow, we’ll be the first to shut it down."
Marshall's expression finally softened. He glanced coldly into the lounge where the police were still taking statements. Sandra's face was bandaged, and she was crying.
After finishing their questions, the police went to Alice's lounge.
Alice looked startled when she saw the police.
The police asked directly, "Did you cause the injury on Miss Hall's face?"
