Chapter 990 Looking at Her Like a Stranger
Jerry immediately knew it was Curtis who had come to see Rosalie.
Jerry felt a whirlwind of emotions but just hoped Rosalie would wake up.
In the morning, Natalie headed to Blue Moon Lake, where Marshall told her someone wanted to rent it for a birthday bash.
Natalie usually turned down these kinds of requests.
But when Marshall mentioned it was the Reynolds family wanting to celebrate Cassidy's birthday in May and they'd been persistent, Natalie paused and asked, "They've been here a lot?"
Marshall handed her a coffee and said, "This is Cassidy's first year running the Reynolds Group. She needs a big splash to get noticed. She came herself to ask about renting the place, showing she's serious. Even though the Reynolds aren't as big in Vachilit as the Howards, it's your call, Ms. Teeger."
Natalie, the owner of Blue Moon Lake Estate, nodded, "Alright, I agree."
"Got it," Marshall nodded back.
Natalie raised an eyebrow, "Let her use the third hall."
Marshall was a bit taken aback. "The third hall?"
Blue Moon Lake Estate was huge, with many banquet halls. The fourth hall was used last time by Rebecca, but the third hall was usually off-limits.
Marshall nodded.
Natalie stood up, "Let me know on her birthday."
She wanted to meet Cassidy, with Heather tagging along. After all, Cassidy had the nerve to offer two million dollars to make Heather break up with Yancy!
On her way out of the Blue Moon Lake, Natalie had Derek drive her to the hospital to visit Rosalie.
When Natalie got to the ward, she saw it was a fancy single room, something Rosalie couldn't afford.
Natalie walked in, seeing Jerry sitting next to Rosalie.
Seeing Natalie, Jerry stood up, "I knew you'd come. After all, she's your mom. Natalie, if something's bothering you, it's better to talk it out. Rosalie's been worried about you."
Natalie smiled lightly. "I made it clear over the phone. I'm not Rosalie's daughter. I have nothing to do with her. I just came to see if she's dead."
Jerry frowned, "Natalie."
Natalie walked over and looked at Rosalie lying on the bed, the machines beside her humming, and her blood pressure normal. She asked, "Anyone else been here?"
"Curtis came this morning. He moved her to this room and said he'd cover the medical bills," Jerry said.
Natalie glanced at Rosalie. Even though her vitals were stable, it was all thanks to the machines.
Natalie had already talked to the doctor, who said there was a blood clot in Rosalie's brain. It wasn't too serious. She'd hurt the back of her head, but it didn't hit a critical spot. She ended up in a coma because she was brought to the hospital too late, with lack of oxygen and too much blood loss.
Natalie looked at Jerry. "When you checked on her, didn't you notice anything off?"
Jerry said, "I just went to see her like usual. I didn't expect to find her on the ground. I called an ambulance right away. They saved her life, but now she's in a vegetative state."
Natalie stood up, realizing she had become indifferent after everything.
With Jerry's eyes red, Natalie looked at Rosalie like she was a stranger before turning and leaving.
