Natalie said, "Ms. Nicholson, I called you here today because there's something I want to discuss with you. Mr. Runyon, I recently acquired a piece of land in the south of the city and it's currently under renovation. What do you think of this location, Mr. Runyon?"
"This place is quite good, just five hundred feet from a subway station, and right in front of Vachilit's famous commercial street." Milan replied.
"I want to establish a new entertainment club here," Natalie said, narrowing her eyes slightly, "Imperial Nightclub is great, but it's mostly frequented by rich kids and out-of-town businessmen. The prices are a bit too high for ordinary people, and Imperial Nightclub has been operating in Vachilit for so many years with a fixed audience. It's hard to break that pattern in the short term. I want to set up a new entertainment club called Elysian Fields Nightclub in the south of the city."
Milan nodded, pondering for a few seconds. "The location is indeed suitable. Ms. Teeger, when do you plan to start the trial operation?"
"At the earliest, by the end of the year." Natalie said.
"Alright, I'll handle it for you, Ms. Teeger."
Hearing Milan's words, Natalie felt relieved. "Mr. Runyon, thank you. However, there's another matter I want to discuss with you today."
"Go ahead." Milan said.
"I want Mr. Nicholson to take charge of the Elysian Fields Nightclub." Natalie said.
Melody looked at Natalie.
Milan said, "Mr. Nicholson's business skills are excellent. Her presence at Elysian Fields Nightclub will be a great help to Ms. Teeger. I fully support this."
Melody had over ten years of experience at Imperial Nightclub and understood the entire business model.
Having Melody take charge of the Elysian Fields Nightclub to assist Derek was the best choice.
Initially, Natalie had thought of having Milan help her. But Imperial Nightclub was a massive operation with high profits, so Milan couldn't leave Imperial Nightclub.
There was another reason that Milan wasn't her own person.
Although Milan was loyal to her, it was because of the Lauchelle's instructions. Milan also received a significant share of the high annual profits from Imperial Nightclub. Most of the high-level staff at Imperial Nightclub were Milan's connections.
While Natalie trusted Milan, she also remained vigilant. But for now, Milan was loyal to her.
Natalie asked Melody to wait outside and then said to Milan, "Mr. Runyon, Imperial Nightclub needs you. I can't selfishly ask you to help me take charge of the new club. This Imperial Nightclub isn't just ours; it's also the godfather's legacy. It represents the most glorious part of Vachilit's nightlife. Only with you here can I be at ease."
"Thank you for your trust, Ms. Teeger. I will take care of everything here." Milan said.
Leaving the conference room, Natalie saw Melody standing at the door and still immersing in surprise.
Natalie said, "Melody, lead the way to your office."
Melody snapped out of it and led the way. "This way, Ms. Teeger."
Natalie smiled, "No need to call me Ms. Teeger. Just call me Natalie."
"It's inappropriate." Melody insisted on calling her Ms. Teeger as she led Natalie to her office, which was still the same office as before.
Melody smiled, "I've gotten used to staying here. I was supposed to change offices, but I never did."
