Chapter 351 What Comes Easy Won't Be Cherished
The 9:30 AM sun was blazing.
Natalie stood in front of a main road, looking up at the towering skyscrapers.
This high-end office building housed several media companies, gyms, and studios.
But what caught Natalie's eye was "Dynamic Entertainment."
Wasn't this the film company under the Howard Group? And Rosalie had just walked in.
At the lobby's front desk, two receptionists were chatting about new fashion releases.
Natalie asked, "Hi, did you see a middle-aged woman in a brown trench coat with a lunchbox just walked in? Which floor did she go to?"
One receptionist looked up at Natalie, who was wearing sunglasses and a mask, and stood up. "Miss, a lot of people have walked in. Can you be more specific?"
Natalie showed a photo of Rosalie on her phone.
The receptionist glanced at it. "She looks familiar."
The other receptionist chimed in. "Isn't that Ms. Cullen's nanny from the 16th floor? She’s been bringing Ms. Cullen food every morning."
The first receptionist nodded. "Yes, that's her."
Natalie pressed her lips together. "Thanks, sorry to bother you."
She left the building, walking alone on the street. Natalie looked up at the bright light ahead. She hadn’t expected Rosalie to be bringing Alice food at Dynamic Entertainment. Why?
Rosalie's recent behavior towards Alice had been odd.
Growing up with the Cullen family, Rosalie was always kind to Alice, comforting her when Avery scolded her and buying her favorite toys and candies, while being stricter with Natalie.
Naturally, Natalie was unhappy, but Rosalie said Alice was their employer’s daughter and deserved better treatment.
But now? Why was Rosalie still so good to Alice?
Avery and Alice had treated Rosalie terribly, even imprisoning her in a mental hospital. She and Rosalie had sacrificed so much because of the Cullen family.
Why was Rosalie still so good to Alice?
Could Alice be threatening Rosalie?
Natalie thought about how Rosalie's sudden decision to leave. When Natalie had mentioned leaving before, Rosalie was always reluctant. Why the sudden change? Was Alice threatening her?
Natalie stopped and turned around, looking at the towering office building behind her.
The Dynamic Entertainment sign stood out.
She didn’t know how long she stood there until car horns snapped her back to reality.
A cobalt blue Porsche sports car had stopped behind her. The window rolled down, and Raymond stuck his head out. "Hey, Natalie."
Natalie staredat his face that looked like Ryan's. Her chest tightened, and she stayed silent for a while. Raymond had to call her several times before she finally replied, "Mr. Newman."
Raymond said, "Need a ride? I can take you."
"No need," Natalie said.
She turned and kept walking.
Raymond was surprised. Natalie had flirted with him countless times, using lame excuses. Now, when he offered her a ride, she refused?
He was intrigued.
Men were always like that; when they couldn't get something, they found it intriguing.
When they could easily get it, they wouldn't cherish it.
