Chapter 74 Beg Me

Natalie's eyes widened in terror, her pupils dilating in the dim light. "What are you going to do?" she demanded, her voice trembling. "Adrian!"

She lunged for the phone, but Adrian was quicker. He produced a tie from his pocket and bound her hands to the headboard. With a smirk, he switched the phone to speaker mode. Each ring of the incoming call echoed ominously in the room, making Natalie's heart pound with dread. He wasn't going to answer the call. He couldn't. Jagger mustn't answer the call.

With a desperate look in her eyes, she begged Adrian to reconsider. She had a sinking feeling she knew what he was planning. She hadn't thought him capable of such cruelty.Suddenly, the call connected. Natalie's mind raced. She could swallow her pride, she could bear the humiliation, but she couldn't bear to tarnish Jagger's image of her. She remembered the first time he had bought her coffee, the first time he had told her that every job deserved respect, the first time he had stood by her side without caring about her lowly status. Jagger was a warm, kind-hearted man.Natalie knew she was undeserving of his affection. She didn't dare to dream of a future with him. All she wanted was to preserve her dignity in his eyes. Biting her lip to keep from crying out, she tasted the metallic tang of blood. She looked at Adrian, tears streaming down her face, her body straining against the restraints."Natalie, is something wrong?" Jagger's gentle voice echoed from the phone. "Natalie? Why aren't you saying anything?"Adrian chuckled, taking in her disheveled appearance. He felt a strange flutter in his chest as he looked into her eyes. Leaning in, he brushed away her tears with his thumb. "Do you want me to hang up?" he whispered into her ear. Natalie nodded frantically, begging him with her eyes."Natalie?" Jagger's voice sounded again, filled with concern. Adrian raised his hand and ended the call. Natalie let out a sigh of relief, her chest heaving as she took in deep breaths.Adrian watched her, his fingers still wet with her tears. He ran his fingers through her hair, his voice barely above a whisper. "Has Dr. Kamel ever touched you like this?"

Natalie shook her head, her voice hoarse. "He wouldn't do that. He's not like you."Adrian scoffed. "You'll never learn, will you? You're begging me. You want me to want you. Or would you rather Jagger received another call?"

Natalie closed her eyes, a pained expression on her face. "I'm begging you, please," she pleaded.Adrian laughed, his gaze lingering on her tear-streaked face. He reached out and gently brushed a stray lock of hair from her forehead. Natalie trembled under his touch. His fingers traced her cheek, his eyes unreadable. When Natalie opened her eyes, it was five in the morning. Adrian was gone. She sat up, wincing at the pain that shot through her body. Suddenly, she remembered the lost child, and tears welled up in her eyes. She buried her face in her hands and wept silently, her slender shoulders shaking with each sob.Meanwhile, Adrian had left the Cullen Villa and was speeding towards Bayview Villa.
