Chapter 1323 Seeking Rescue in Danger, Unknown Island
Rachel flexed her wrists and ankles.
All the valuable items on her had been taken away.
Her bag, watch, necklace, bracelet, and earrings.
"Sir, could you return my watch?" Rachel said with teary eyes, looking weak and innocent. "That watch isn't real; it's a fake. You won't get much money for it."
"It was a gift from my first love. I lied to you before; I'm not rich. My family is poor, but I like to dress up. Many of the things I wear are just imitations. My first love is seriously ill, and that watch is the only thing he ever gave me. I came on this trip to clear my mind."
The man listened, "A fake? I couldn't tell. I thought you were rich, dressed in all those brand names, like a wealthy man's daughter."
Rachel sensed an opportunity, "Yes, that watch wouldn't sell for more than a few hundred dollars. Please, just give it back to me. If I get sold off here, I might never return home. My first love is probably close to passing away. This watch is our only keepsake."
She started to cry.
When a woman cries, especially a beautiful woman like Rachel, most men can't resist.
The man, after hearing her story, said, "Alright, I'll go get it for you."
Rachel received her electronic watch. In reality, this watch was designed by the Howard family. It had a tracking system that could be activated with internet access.
It didn't have a SIM card but could make internet calls, communicate, video chat, and record audio and video.
Most importantly, the watch was solar-powered and could send out a distress signal.
Rachel put the watch back on her wrist and tested the network.
There was no signal inside the warehouse.
She just needed to get outside to have internet access and call for help.
The ship soon docked.
Rachel was taken off the ship.
She glanced around.
She noticed another young woman being taken off the ship as well.
She was probably kidnapped too.
It had been almost a day's journey by ship.
This wasn't Suncrest City; it was a small fishing village on an island.
Rachel wasn't sure exactly where they were.
She didn't communicate with the other girl. Rachel was relatively calm, while the other girl was trembling.
Rachel wanted to talk to her but never got the chance. The two men were watching them closely.
After a few minutes, some people approached and handed a suitcase to the two men. After counting the money, the two men left.
A middle-aged man looked Rachel up and down, "This batch is pretty good. Such a beautiful girl."
The other girl was taken away by one of his subordinates.
The middle-aged man walked up to Rachel, "No matter what your name was before, here, I'll give you a new name. How about Zephyr?"
Rachel almost rolled her eyes, "Where is this place? Who are you? Did you pay them?"
"You're not scared? You're different from that other woman; you're not scared?"
"Do I have to show my fear? I can't escape anyway." Rachel glanced around and noticed that although this was a fishing village, the houses were two-story buildings, indicating a decent economic status.
"You seem to come from a good background, but it's a pity. Now that you're here, you can't go back to your old life. This will be your home from now on," the middle-aged man said, signaling to his two subordinates.
Rachel took a step back, wary, "What are you going to do?"
