Chapter 365 "Aren't You Afraid of the Paparazzi?"
"Her?" Ron asked, "Is she the lead actress you picked?"
Victoria didn't respond.
Ron stayed quiet for a bit. Even with a mask on, Natalie stood out. Her figure and demeanor were impressive, even from behind.
He hadn't seen Natalie's acting, but her eyes hinted she'd be a star in the entertainment world.
Victoria finally spoke, "Does being pretty matter in a crowd of beautiful people? Let's be honest, average looks don't cut it, but exceptional beauty does. And it's the first time Samuel's recommended someone so strongly."
Ron joked, "Didn't you say you don't care about connections? Guess mine aren't good enough."
Victoria laughed. "Ron, Samuel's my student. Gotta look out for him."
Ron chuckled and stood up. "Alright, you probably have stuff to do. I'll head out. Dinner at 7 PM, Golden Peak Restaurant. Got us a private room."
Natalie handed her phone to Samuel.
He glanced at it, replied to a few messages, and looked at Natalie outside the car. "Hop in."
Natalie widened her eyes. "You're giving me a ride?"
Samuel said, "Yeah, why not?"
Natalie replied, "Aren't you worried about paparazzi, Mr. Russell?"
Samuel grinned. "If they're around, they've already got photos. The longer you stand there, the more they'll take, costing my company more in PR. So, Ms. Teeger, get in."
Natalie got in, looking around but seeing no paparazzi.
Samuel was well-disguised; no one should recognize him.
She hesitated, debating whether to suggest taking a cab.
She'd barely spoken to Samuel during filming and didn't expect his help.
Finally, she got in. "Thanks, Mr. Russell."
"You're welcome," Samuel said, "Where to? Imperial Nightclub?"
Natalie was surprised. "How do you know I work there?"
Samuel's voice was gentle. "Saw you at a crew gathering once. You probably didn't notice me."
"Yeah, that's where I'm going." Natalie didn't feel ashamed of her job.
She worked hard, nothing wrong with that.
Half an hour later, they arrived at the Imperial Nightclub. Samuel asked, "If I book a room here, will I get a discount?"
Natalie replied, "Of course, you'll get a discount."
She got out. Samuel pointed to his phone. "Remember to check your phone more often."
"Okay." Natalie smiled.
The night breeze lifted her hair. She smoothed it down, waved at Samuel, and walked up the steps.
Inside the car, after she disappeared, Samuel told the driver to go.
The driver smiled. "Mr. Russell, it's rare to see you with a female friend. Ms. Teeger seems nice."
Samuel said, "She is interesting, talented, and hardworking."
The first time he saw her was on a private yacht at Clearwave Island. She stood out, had a connection with Adrian, and looked a lot like Alice. But their personalities and temperaments were different.
He took on "Happiness Like a Song" to repay a favor. The second female lead was supposed to be someone else but was replaced by Alice. He didn't have many scenes with Alice, but enough to notice she wasn't suited for acting—more for modeling.
