Chapter 195 Pestering Jagger

Natalie didn't expect to run into Jagger and Traylor here. She averted her gaze, nodded, and quietly waited for the elevator.

Seeing that Natalie ignored him, Jagger felt a bit hurt and said to Traylor, "Traylor, you go to the private room first. I'll be there soon."

Traylor refused to leave. She re-linked her arm with Jagger's and said to Natalie, "Natalie, what a coincidence running into you here."

Natalie just smiled slightly. "I work here, so it's normal to run into each other. Ms. Kroger, have fun."

Traylor generously said, "Natalie, you're off work now. Why don't you join us? It's my birthday tonight."

"No need. I have plans with a friend," Natalie said softly. She glanced at Traylor, her eyes carrying a gentle and calm smile. "Happy birthday. I won't intrude."

"Alright then," Traylor knew in her heart that Natalie wouldn't come. She tightened her grip on Jagger's arm, closely watching his expression.

The elevator door opened.

As people exited, Natalie prepared to step in. She didn't want to stay here any longer.

Jagger hurriedly called out to her, "Natalie, wait."

He said to Traylor, "Traylor, you go back to the private room first. I'll be there soon."

Traylor refused. "Jagger, come with me."

"Traylor," Jagger turned serious as he patted her hand. "Traylor, I promise you. I'll be there soon."

Reluctantly, Traylor let go, saying, "Alright, but hurry up."

Natalie didn't stop and walked into the elevator with the crowd.

Jagger was a step too late, watching the elevator doors close. He glanced at the adjacent open elevator and quickly stepped in, only to be stopped by a waiter. "Sir, this is the staff elevator. Please wait here for the passenger elevator."

The elevator was moving slowly, floor by floor. Jagger couldn't wait any longer and immediately took the stairs, running down breathlessly. He saw Natalie walking out of the Imperial Nightclub and called out, "Natalie."

She paused for a second, then continued walking.

"Natalie." Jagger ran over and grabbed her.

Not far away, a black Bentley was slowly driving by.

Inside the car, Adrian rubbed his temples. He glanced over and saw a man holding a woman's hand at the entrance of the Imperial Nightclub. They seemed to be talking, and then the man hugged the woman.

Adrian narrowed his eyes slowly, clearly displeased.

The driver was about to drive off when Adrian said, "Stop."

The driver responded, "Yes, Mr. Howard. Any instructions?"

Adrian's gaze fell on the two hugging figures. He paused for two seconds, his eyes darkening. Daniel, sitting next to Adrian, also noticed something unusual and said, "Adrian, wait here. I'll go help Natalie!"

Natalie pushed Jagger away, frowning. "Jagger, let go of me!"

Jagger held her tightly. "I won't let go, Natalie. I know if I do, you'll leave."

Natalie clenched her fists, her voice dry. "If you keep this up, I'll call security."

Jagger released her but kept his eyes fixed on her, looking hurt. "You never used to talk to me so harshly."

Natalie didn't meet his eyes. "That was before, Dr. Kamel. If you have nothing else, I need to go. You have your girlfriend's birthday party to attend. I won't disturb you."

Hearing her mention Traylor, Jagger flashed a glint across his eyes. 'Is she jealous?' he thought.

"Natalie, are you..." Jagger asked.

Natalie knew what he wanted to say. "Dr. Kamel, you and Dr. Kroger are a perfect match. I wish you both the best."

"Natalie," Jagger called out.

Natalie turned around and said, "Dr. Kamel, we have broken up. There's no need for us to stay in touch. I wish you and Dr. Kroger the best."

"Natalie, even if we've broken up, we can still be friends," Jagger added.

"Friends?" The evening breeze lifted her long hair, strands flying messily across her face. Natalie reached out, gently combing her hair. She smiled distantly and gently, "I didn't expect you'd still want to be friends with someone like me?"
