Chapter 588 The Ultimate Deadline

Kent hadn't been stirring the pot lately, right?

Full of questions, Kent bolted to the Imperial Nightclub.

When he got to the private room, he spotted a young man chilling next to Frankie. Kent didn't know the guy, but he looked kinda familiar.

Kent strolled up to Frankie and asked, "Mr. Santoro, what’s up? Why'd you call me?"

Frankie grinned. "Mr. Duncan wants a word with you."

Carlos cut to the chase, "Mr. King, I need some info on someone."

Kent replied, "Who you looking for? If I know 'em, I'll spill. I know everyone around here."

Carlos said, "Frank."

Kent's face shifted.

Carlos pressed, "What's the deal, Mr. King? Is it tricky?"

Kent went quiet for a sec.

Frankie nudged, "Kent, spill it."

Kent came clean, "Mr. Santoro, Frank borrowed a hundred grand from me. I caught him, but then someone took him and told me to keep my mouth shut about where he is. I agreed. In this line of work, my word's my bond."

Plus, Yancy had dirt on Kent.

Carlos said, "Mr. King, name your price, and I'll make it happen."

Kent was stuck. He'd taken Yancy's cash and made a promise. If he sold Frank out now, his rep would perish.

Meanwhile, Kent cursed Yancy under his breath. Yancy had really screwed him over. Took three hundred grand to snatch Frank and left Kent with this mess.

Kent said, "I made a promise."

Frankie leaned in, "Kent, whisper it to me."

Kent got close and murmured Yancy's name in Frankie's ear.

Frankie's face darkened. He got serious. "Carlos, I wanna help, but I'm in a bind here."

Carlos was secretly freaked out.

Who could make Frankie this nervous?

Could Adrian's crew have found Frank? That'd be a disaster.

If Adrian's people found out what Alice had done, the Howard family would probably ditch her. Carlos and his dad's plan would go up in smoke. Their fates were tied, so they had to cover for Alice.

Carlos said, "Mr. Santoro, if you tell me where Frank is, I'll give you back the South District underground casino."

The South District underground casino was a goldmine Carlos had snatched from Frankie. If John hadn't had Carlos's back, along with the Howard Group's support, Frankie would've offed him. Later, to make peace, John gave Frankie a street behind Vachilit High School No. 13, which finally cooled things down.

Now Carlos needed Frankie's help and was ready to give up this cash cow.

Frankie's eyes lit up. He thought it over. He wanted the South District casino back but didn't wanna piss off Yancy. He told Carlos, "Carlos, give me a couple days. I'll bring Frank to you, but I need to plan this out."

Carlos stood up. "Two days. My time's tight."

This was urgent.

Carlos couldn't chill until Frank was found.
