Natalie responded, "Honestly, I didn't even think twice about it back then. I always figured the truth would come out on its own. I already sued the account spreading those lies about me, and I'm sure the law's got my back. Life was rough before, especially with my mom's kidney issues and needing cash for her surgery. Those times sucked, but things are finally looking up."
The host jumped in, "Natalie, your fans are dying to know about your next movie. After Rising Winds, can you drop any hints about what's coming next?"
Natalie grinned, "Let's keep a bit of mystery, shall we? Enjoy Rising Winds first. After that, I'll take a short break and then dive into the next project. Lately, I've been itching to do a historical drama."
The host nodded. "Alright, we're all hyped for Rising Winds and hope it crushes it at the box office."
The interview kept rolling until 2:15 PM.
A media person came up, all excited, "My sister's a huge fan and totally loves you. She's in middle school and freaked out when she heard I was interviewing you. Could you sign an autograph for her?"
Natalie signed and snapped a pic with the person.
After a morning of shooting, Natalie was feeling a bit wiped and headed back to the car.
Natalie rubbed her neck, feeling the strain. Heather was still on set, picking out shots. About five minutes later, Heather came back. "I ordered lunch, Natalie. You need to grab a bite. We've got a high-end luxury ad shoot at 5 PM, and it'll only take two hours."
Natalie had been doing a bunch of ads lately, mostly for everyday stuff.
She thought they were decent after trying them out, and Heather got a good deal, so she went for it.
Heather said, "The lead role in One Day went to Alice, and you turned down a film Mr. Abernathy offered. He made it up to you with a high-end luxury brand gig tonight. This brand doesn't have an ambassador here yet. The evaluation period is long, and even though Mr. Abernathy pushed for it, the top brass only gave you the title of brand partner. If Rising Winds does well, you might become the ambassador and then the spokesperson."
She took a breath and continued, "High-end luxury is cutthroat. Not long ago, Penelope became the global brand ambassador for brand G. Wendy's the spokesperson, but Penelope still led the main campaign this season. Wendy, despite being the spokesperson, got overshadowed by Penelope. The competition is fierce. Brand C is an old brand, all about elegance and sensuality, which fits your vibe. Tonight's shoot is for the new fall collection by a young designer, the 'First Love' series. We've got three hours until the shoot, so you can chill after lunch."
Natalie nodded, took a sip of juice, and told Heather, "I'll head back to the hotel first, but I probably won't get any rest."
Heather asked, "Why not?"
Natalie replied, "Someone's likely to come looking for me."
Heather was curious, "Who? Did you make plans with a friend? We can't delay tonight's shoot. It's in the suburbs, and we need to leave half an hour early. The head of public relations from brand C will be there, so we can't be late."
"I know," Natalie said, "Karen's looking for me."
"Karen?" Heather asked, "Why's she looking for you?"
Natalie replied, "I think Karen will also look for you."
Heather said, "Karen isn't as sharp as Mindy. But sometimes, the smarter people are, the quicker they get into trouble."
