Chapter 263 Ryan

Gordon's parents and some Swan family relatives were there, along with Gordon's close friends.

Bella had a bit too much to drink. After dinner, she leaned on Natalie's shoulder, eyeing her slender neck. Natalie wore a beige velvet dress with a small V-neck and a silver necklace. Bella burped. "Natalie, why aren't you wearing the necklace I gave you for your birthday?"

Natalie felt a bit guilty. "Bella, I can't find it."

She must've left it at her old place when she moved. Despite searching her bedroom, she couldn't find that diamond pendant. She needed to go back to her old place soon to look for it.

Bella said, "If you can't find it, I'll just get you another one."

Natalie declined, "No need to trouble yourself."

Bella smiled. "It's no trouble. My family is in the jewelry business. We have plenty of materials. I'll have the factory make an identical one for you tomorrow."

Natalie got up to go to the restroom. When she came out, she bumped into a young man in a black shirt who reeked of alcohol.

She stepped back, saying, "Sorry."

As she looked up, she froze. Her voice trembled as she stared at the man's face. When he was about to walk away, she quickly grabbed his sleeve, her voice shaking. "You..."

The man looked at her. "Miss, do you need something?"

Raymond Newman's voice was low, but he was unsteady on his feet, clearly drunk. He vaguely saw a young woman in front of him.

Natalie's eyes filled with tears as she uttered, "Ryan."

"You've got the wrong person." Raymond frowned, pushing her away and staggering towards a private room.

Natalie followed closely behind, thinking, 'That face? Did I really get it wrong? But that face is exactly like Ryan's from my memory.'

Ryan had been dead for years. But how could someone from her memory suddenly appear?

Raymond noticed someone following him. He turned around and saw a young woman with teary eyes following him. "Hey, why are you following me?"

Natalie bit her lip, tears streaming down her face.

Raymond was half sober. "I didn't scare you. Don't cry. I didn't even argue with you. Why are you crying? People will think I bullied you."

Natalie was too emotional. "What's your name? Do you live here? Do you have any ID? Can I see it?"

Raymond looked at her like she was crazy, but the more she cried, the more people stared.

Raymond felt a headache coming on. "My name is Raymond Newman, I'm 25, and I've always lived in Vachilit. You want to see my ID? It's in my private room. You're really strange, stop crying! People will think I bully women."

Raymond walked ahead.

Natalie followed, unable to stop crying. This person looked too much like Ryan, in fact, he looked exactly like him. The face in her memory was just like this.

The age matched too. If Ryan were still alive, he'd be around 24 or 25.

She followed Raymond to his private room. He pushed the door open and walked in.

Inside, a few men were drinking.

Colby said to Raymond, "Raymond, I thought you passed out in the restroom; you took so long."

Raymond said, "I was drunk, and a crazy woman sobered me up." He pointed to his head as he spoke.

Colby looked up. "What happened?"

Raymond shook his head. "I ran into someone who kept bothering me."

One of the men laughed. "Who would dare to bother you? A woman? How does she look?"

Raymond laughed, remembering that delicate face. "She's actually quite pretty."

The man teased. "If she's pretty, bring her in."

"Do you think I'm the kind of person who likes every girl I see?" Raymond reached out. "Adrian, it's right next to your left hand; pass me my wallet."

Adrian, sitting on a dark brown leather sofa, looked up and handed Raymond a wallet.

Raymond mumbled something, took out his driver's license, and turned to walk out.
