Chapter 730 Please Respect Her
Austin might never wake up.
Nicholas's eyes turned icy. "Bella's Austin's wife. If the Reynolds Family's in hot water, Bella's gonna get dragged in, too. Natalie, I know you're her friend, but you can't just butt into her business."
Natalie snapped, "Seriously? And what do you call holding Austin's wife right now? Austin's just in a coma, Nicholas. Show some respect for Bella."
Nicholas clenched his jaw, staring at Natalie, a total knockout. His entertainment company knew all about her. She had some serious connections and was signed with Dynamic Entertainment.
Nicholas never thought Natalie would be Bella's friend. "Natalie, stay out of this. It's not gonna end well for you. You're an actress, so stick to acting and leave this drama alone."
Nicholas didn't want Bella involved,either, but with her ties to Cassidy, she couldn't dodge it.
And now with Austin out cold, the Reynolds Family was on the brink of chaos.
Natalie didn't want that mess. If it wasn't for Bella, she wouldn't give a damn about the Reynolds Family.
Natalie could tell Nicholas's feelings for Bella were way more than brotherly. His eyes screamed possessiveness.
Bella jolted awake at 5 AM. She'd only slept four hours before her eyes flew open.
In her nightmare, Bella saw Austin dead. She screamed his name, terrified. People around her were pulling her, but she couldn't see anyone clearly. Just beams of light, and Austin's soul drifting away, saying goodbye until it vanished.
"Austin!" Bella gasped, a warm, dry hand holding hers.
Nicholas's voice was low. "Bella."
It snapped Bella back to reality. Nicholas's face came into focus. She threw off the blanket, her legs almost giving out. Nicholas tried to help, but she pushed him away, heading to the ICU door. She peered at Austin on the bed and the monitors to check if he was still alive.
Having seen nothing odd from the machine, Bella finally sighed in relief. Austin was still breathing, and that was all that mattered. She'd had this nightmare too many times.
Bella's back tingled, her face sweaty and pale, lips even paler. She looked around. "Where's Natalie?"
Nicholas said, "She went out to take a call."
Seeing Bella's state, Nicholas called for bodyguards to stand by the ICU door. Then he picked Bella up. She struggled. "What are you doing? Put me down."
Nicholas was firm. "You need rest. If you don't, you'll collapse."
Bella shouted, "No, I want to stay here. I want to be with Austin!"
Natalie walked in, seeing Nicholas holding a struggling Bella. She quickly stepped in, blocking Nicholas. "What are you doing?"
Nicholas put Bella down. She was so thin, and light as a feather.
Natalie thought Nicholas was bullying Bella and shielded her. Nicholas said, "As her friend, you should tell her to rest. Austin's still out, and she's wearing herself out."
Natalie was worried about Bella, too.
