Chapter 164 It's Time to Meet
After pondering the question for a while, Curtis said, "Natalie, I've watched you grow up. Dr. Kamel is a good man. If there are any misunderstandings between you, you should resolve them. Don't let a momentary misunderstanding cause you to miss out on such a good man."
"My mother said that a person's character shouldn't be judged based on a moment. What seems sweet now might turn into a dagger in the heart later." Natalie looked at Curtis, her voice clear. "Mr. Cullen, have you ever done something in the past that you regret?"
Curtis met Natalie's clear gaze, momentarily taken aback.
After two minutes, he smiled and replied, "I've lived to this age. Surely, I've experienced some unpleasant things."
"Mr. Cullen, when I was young, I didn't understand much. Now that I've grown up, I want to know if my father and brother's deaths were really accidents," Natalie asked.
"It's been over ten years since that incident, and the culprit has already turned themselves in, Natalie..." Curtis's gaze shifted elsewhere. "I also feel sorry for your father and brother's tragedy, but life is unpredictable. What's the point of digging into it now?"
"True, it's been over ten years." Natalie's face maintained a serene smile, her eyes calm. "Ten years, I really want to know how the killer can live without guilt after their deaths."
Curtis's expression suddenly changed. "Natalie, have you heard some gossip?"
"No, I've just been dreaming about them a lot recently. My brother died when he was still a teenager. I think my father must regret taking his only son out, thinking it was just a routine task, expecting to come back in the evening to have dinner and chat with us."
Natalie blinked innocently, her clear eyes fixed on Curtis. "Mr. Cullen, what gossip are you talking about?"
Curtis said, "Nothing, just a passing remark."
He continued, "Life is unpredictable. Many things are beyond our control, Natalie. I don't think your father would want you to dwell on the past."
"Really? Then I hope my father will tell me in my dreams tonight," Natalie replied innocently.
Then Natalie stood up. "Mr. Cullen, I'll head back now. You should rest early, too."
Curtis nodded, watching her leave the study room. He sat on the sofa, sighed deeply, and after a few minutes, he took out his phone and dialed Otis's number.
"Otis, find out which hospital Rosalie is in and which room."
"Mr. Cullen, you're not going to see her, are you? Don't let Mrs. Cullen know, or you'll end up arguing again."
Curtis sighed. "It's time for me to meet Rosalie."
Imperial Nightclub had been busy these days. Natalie saved her salary for the month and looked at the numbers in her account. It filled her with anticipation for the future. Once she and Jerry rescued Rosalie, she planned to take her mother to a beautiful place surrounded by nature.
Natalie gazed at the sparkling neon lights of Vachilit outside the window. After a brief rest, she returned to the lounge.
As soon as she pushed the door, Natalie heard a few people inside discussing.
"The guest in the room I serve is very generous and ordered several expensive bottles of whiskey."
"Your commission for this month should be good then. I envy you. A few days ago, when I was home, my sister told me about a strange patient in her hospital."
