Chapter 994 Always Be My Mrs. Howard

Natalie shivered in joy, "Adrian."

"You lied to me, so here's your punishment: you're gonna be my wife forever," Adrian said, grinning like a kid on Christmas morning.

He'd just found out the truth and was a whirlwind of emotions—shocked, thrilled, and over the moon. It had always been Natalie. Adrian had always felt a pang of guilt; he loved Natalie but had been with Alice because she saved him. It felt so unfair to Natalie.

Right then, Adrian finally got it—it had always been Natalie.

He wasn't mad, just kicking himself for not figuring it out sooner.

But who would've thought Natalie was Alice's stand-in? Even his engagement ceremony had been with Natalie.

Adrian kissed her and held her tight. "Natalie, I'm gonna give you the biggest, most amazing wedding ever."

"Okay." Natalie hugged him back, "Aren't you mad I lied to you?"

"I'm over the moon because the girl I love and the girl who saved me are the same person." His warm breath brushed her face.

Natalie smiled, "I wish I'd had the guts to tell you sooner."

"No one else can lie to me, only you," Adrian said, holding her like she was the most precious thing in the world, a tear slipping down his cheek unnoticed by Natalie, "Even if you wanted to kill me, I'd let you."

Natalie playfully punched his back, "How could I do that!"

"I'm just so happy."

Natalie suddenly realized they were still at the entrance of City Hall, with people passing by and staring at them while they were leaning against the car all cozy.

She blushed, "Let's get in the car and talk later."

"Okay!"

The car drove off.

Natalie wiped her tears, too excited. "Where are we going?"

"To the Howard Mansion, to meet my grandpa and my parents."

"Okay." Natalie instinctively clenched her palm. "Have you told them about your plan to marry me?"

"Nope," Adrian answered bluntly.

"Then," Natalie mumbled.

"Then what? Worried they won't accept you?" At a red light, the car stopped, and Adrian reached over to brush Natalie's nose.

Natalie sighed. "Of course I'm worried."

"I call the shots when it comes to my marriage," Adrian said, looking at her lovingly, "Don't stress. I've got this."

"Okay." Natalie naturally trusted Adrian.

The car pulled up at the Howard Mansion.

Jeffery came out, "Mr. Howard."

He looked at Natalie, "Ms. Teeger."

Adrian got out and held Natalie's hand, "Are my parents home?"

Jeffery nodded, "Mr. Joe Howard and Mrs. Claire Howard are already in the living room."

In the Living room.

Claire sipped her coffee, looking at Joe, "When's Adrian getting here? Why'd he call us?"

Melissa chimed in, "It's rare for the whole family to be together. Let's have lunch here. Jeffery, go get lunch ready."

Jeffery, passing by, said, "I'll get right on it. Mr. Adrian Howard is back with Ms. Teeger."

Melissa looked towards the door, seeing Adrian holding Natalie's hand as they walked in.

For a moment, seeing Natalie's face, she almost thought she was looking at Alice.
