Chapter 1306 Having a Child That Belongs to Both of Them
As she walked into the living room, she heard Claire's laughter.
And Andrea's laughter too.
"Mrs. Natalie Howard is here," someone shouted.
Everyone in the living room looked over, and Claire said, "Natalie is here. You didn't even give us a heads-up. We all thought you were still filming."
Natalie walked over and handed the snacks she brought to a servant.
She sat down on the sofa.
Andrea was sitting to Claire's left, and Melissa to her right.
They chatted and laughed.
"It's the weekend, so I took an extra day off and came back."
"Where's Rachel? Didn't she come back with you?" Claire asked, looking behind Natalie.
Rachel didn't want to come back.
Natalie had talked to Rachel before she came, but Rachel, likely afraid of seeing Jamie, shook her head and said she'd come back at Christmas.
Natalie couldn't tell the truth, so she said, "Rachel went out with a new friend."
"There's no place like home. Rachel is always out traveling with some new friend," Claire said with a smile, taking out her phone and opening Rachel's social media account. Sure enough, there were a few selfies and scenic photos.
She made a video call to Rachel.
It connected quickly.
Rachel seemed to be on the street, with background noise.
"Mom, happy weekend!"
"Why didn't you come back? Natalie is already here."
"Mom, I'm with friends this weekend. Look, I'm at a gathering now, and there are a lot of people behind me. My signal is bad too."
"Make sure to come back next week."
"I can't come back next week either. I'll be back for Christmas."
"I haven't seen you in months."
"Aren't we video calling now? It's like we're meeting."
Rachel shouted in the video, "Melissa, Mom, Natalie, I have to go. It's too crowded here."
Rachel was the only daughter, the princess of the Howard Group. Melissa reminded her, "Stay safe."
Andrea felt a bit uncomfortable watching everyone gather around the phone to talk to Rachel. She wasn't a daughter of the Howard family.
Even though she had just made Melissa and Claire very happy, and they seemed to care for her, their hearts were ultimately with Rachel.
Claire ended the call.
Andrea put on a smile again, "I saw that Natalie brought back a lot of snacks. They must be specialties from Suncrest City. I've heard the snacks there are delicious. Why don't we try some?"
"Natalie, what's it like on set? I'm really curious. If I get the chance, I'd love to visit you," Andrea said sweetly, with a beautiful smile and a pure look.
Natalie maintained a polite smile, "Sure, you're welcome anytime."
The servant heated the snacks in the microwave and served them.
Melissa took a bite, "Natalie, are you planning to keep acting? I know you're young and want to build your career, but you should also think about yourself and Adrian. Have a child; Claire has been looking forward to it."
Natalie knew she couldn't avoid such questions.
She also wanted to have a child with Adrian.
