Chapter 1187 Boarding the Ship

"This is when things go smoothly. If they don't, you might be stuck in there for twenty days. It's not convenient for girls, and Briar, your skills aren't as good as Stefan's. I need a helper in there, not a burden. If you want your father to come out safely, just wait outside."

Briar bit her lip, her eyes slightly red.

Derek's tone wasn't exactly harsh, but it was rather flat and somewhat stiff. Girls are more sensitive, but Delmar and Stefan exchanged a glance, both knowing Derek was right.

Inside, you could encounter all sorts of dangers.

Boys have a much higher survival rate than girls.

It was exactly 8 PM.

A huge and mysterious cruise ship docked at the port, and many people walked over.

This was the mysterious Ocean Harmony cruise ship. Its appearance alone gave off an oppressive feeling.

It was six stories high, and from the outside, you could see the lights on the sixth floor, which seemed brightly lit and lively, as if a party was going on.

You could vaguely see waiters carrying trays with coffee or beer and other beverages, moving back and forth.

These waiters had calm and polite expressions, holding trays with one hand and standing straight, clearly well-trained and strictly regulated.

They wore bow ties around their necks and uniform clothing.

The fifth floor was also lit up.

It seemed to be a restaurant.

By the window, people were dining.

There seemed to be people from various countries, smiling, clinking glasses, and swirling red wine, creating a scene of warmth and happiness.

Next was the fourth floor, which seemed to be a ballroom, with someone in a red dress twirling.

It looked like a very pleasant scene. If it weren't for the notorious reputation of Ocean Harmony, no one would associate this warm and picturesque ship with the mysterious and dark rumors surrounding it.

Derek and Stefan blended in with the crowd and walked in.

At the entrance, Derek took out the tickets.

You needed tickets to come here.

Tickets weren't easy to get; Derek had to ask someone to get them.

People came here not only to escape poverty but also for the thrill.

Everyone was still immersed in the perfect and warm scene they saw from outside. As they walked in, there was a staircase leading down.

As they descended, a foul smell hit them.

It was the smell of a warehouse, long devoid of light, filled with the stench of sweat, rot, and mold.

"What kind of place is this? Why aren't the lights on?"

Someone complained.

Then a mechanical voice came from a loudspeaker, "Welcome to Ocean Harmony. Here, there are no rules. Everyone must sign an agreement. After signing, you can go get your food."

"We have to sign an agreement? What kind of agreement?"

"They didn't say anything about signing an agreement before we came!"

Derek frowned slightly. Behind him, Stefan raised his hand and patted his shoulder, signaling him to look up.

Derek looked up and put on the prepared sunglasses.

These weren't just ordinary sunglasses; once he put them on, he could easily see the red dots in the southwest corner, indicating cameras, with a loudspeaker next to them.

This should be the lowest level of the cruise ship.

On most cruise ships, the lowest level is usually for stowaways or people who can't afford tickets, staying there for a low price.

"What kind of agreement? Can't we eat if we don't sign?"

"I'm just here for fun. I have money. Are you really going to put me here? This is so disrespectful."
