Chapter 169 Overbearing

"Roy." Natalie bent down and patted his head.

Roy was still muttering, his eyes lit up when he saw Natalie. "Are you here to see me?" Roy's smile was bright.

For a moment, Natalie felt a warmth surge in her heart. "Yes, I kept my promise."

Shoreview General Hospital's facilities were quite average in all aspects, the only advantage being its vast area with a huge lawn and an entertaining rock garden. Natalie watched a few children running on the lawn and smiled. "Why did Roy come here?"

Linda said, "He used to cause trouble every day in the beginning. His parents used to visit every few days. Then it became every few weeks and later every few months. The last time Roy's parents were here was three months ago. He's actually very smart, but he always talks nonsense. I heard he was traumatized as a child, and that's how he turned out this way."

Linda continued chatting with Natalie, pointing to another little girl. "She's Susan Garcia. She's been here for five years, longer than I've been working here. She witnessed her parents' car accident and then became like this. She doesn't speak a word usually and plays alone."

Natalie stayed here for a while, then remembered that Jerry was also here.

She said to Linda, "I need to use the restroom."

"Sure, it's on the first floor."

At this moment, Jerry, dressed in janitorial clothes, slowly climbed the stairs. He was slightly stooped, wearing a mask that only revealed a pair of eyes full of wrinkles and gray hair, looking like he was in his sixties.

"Come here." Suddenly, the iron gate opened, and a male voice came through.

"Janitor, come up and clean the bathroom."

Jerry quickly nodded. "Okay, okay."

It was the first time he could go up to the sixth floor after working as a janitor here for a week.
Jerry walked with his head down, and in the corner of his eye, he noticed at the end of the corridor, in front of a ward, stood three or four black-clad bodyguards.

One of the bodyguards, adjusting his pants, walked towards the restroom, glancing at Jerry. "Why is there a new janitor today?"

Another bodyguard said, "Isn't it better? We're all men. It's inconvenient when a woman comes in to clean every time."

Inside the restroom, Jerry wiped the sink, listening to the conversation outside.

"When are we going to get a pretty cleaning woman up here? We wouldn't have to..."

"Boss, how long do we have to stay here? It's been months, guarding a half-dead middle-aged woman who can't even go out casually. This life is so boring, we're not even allowed to see a pretty nurse!!"

"We've taken the money. We have to do the job." The boss looked around, lowering his voice, "I think that woman is about to die. She's even on a ventilator."

"It's strange, wasn't she happily knitting sweaters a while ago? She just had kidney disease and almost recovered. How did this happen suddenly?"

Jerry paused.

His eyes trembled slightly.

"Just changed the medication for two days, and she turned out like this."

"Shut up! How dare you say anything!"

"What's there to fear? No one else will know except us."

Jerry clenched the cloth in his hand. It seemed that Rosalie's situation was really bad.

The Cullen family! They had gone too far!!

Jerry finished cleaning the restroom and came out with a mop to start cleaning the corridor.

One of the bodyguards, adjusting his pants, walked out of the restroom and saw Jerry. He shouted to Jerry, "Janitor, clean properly and quickly."

Jerry didn't respond to him.

The bodyguard walked over. "Janitor! I'm talking to you!"
